Hi Dennis:

I have changed the wife of George Sellers from Elizabeth Richmond to Elizabeth Morris.  Do you know the parents of Elizabeth Morris?

It will be some time before I redo the Richmond file for the web page.  This file is huge and it takes several hours to get it ready for uploading.
Therefore, I do not redo the file very often.  Thanks for the info.

FROM DENNIS
FDHaun@aol.com

I want to thank you for this information, I have a lot of
research
to do on this family.  Marie do we have a Sellers Web site for Marshall and
Tyler W.V, -if so could you please pass it on to me.-- Also important
question, do you have any idea who gave the information that this George
Sellers was born in Allegheny Two. WA. County, Pa. in the year of 1814, or
just where I might find that information for myself.  Reason for this
request, If this George Sellers was born in Green County, and not Allegheny
Washington Co.... Then by the 1840 Green County Census there was only one
George Sellers in that age bracket living in said county. That would be the
son of George and Mary (Sherman) Sellers. Also seeing that all there
children
(George and Elizabeth's) were born in Green County, first born year
1840/41.-- That (This George) had a son named Atkinson born in the year of
1844. -We find that a Atkinson Sellers was living in the year of 1870 with
the family of Wm. and Sarah (Sellers) Cottreal,( maybe his Aunt)  Atkinson
being the age of 25.-- George and Elizabeth Sellers are buried in Green
Mount
Cemetery as well as there son John. We also find that Wm. and Sarah
(Sellers)
Cottreal are also. buried there. Just to remind you, according to George
Sellers Will, he had a son George, Atkinson, John and daughters Sarah=
Cottreal and Mary. So you see that any help that you can give me about this
George being born in Allegheny is important to my research on my line of
the Sellers.
Thank you for all the help.  FDH  Dennis.

DENNIS and ALL - YES, we need All of your Help =
Do we have a Morris or a Richmond marriage to Geo Sellers born 1814?
Or how did we first prove she was a Morris (a child or relation?  married a
Morris?)
Or how did we prove ALL kids were hers (okay, if she was originally a
Richmond,
they would be)
But if she was a Morris as a first wife and he remarried a Richmond?
Possibility?

But, Franklin Marion is the youngest? child and he had a MORRIS mother!
She would have to have been a Richmond first and then he remarried a
MORRIS!
Possibilty?

WHAT do we have Proof/Documents on?
DO WE have any MORRIS or RICHMOND WILLS?

HEART AILMENT FATAL TO FRANK M. SELLERS
Waynesburg, Dec. 26. -- Frank M. Sellers, 86, well known retired
carpenter, cabinet worker and photographer of Waynesburg, died at his
home at his home in South Morgan Street, Friday, December 24, at 10 a.m. Funeral

services were held this afternoon in his home at 2 o'clock in charge of
the Rev. Harvey W. Funk, pastor of the First Baptist Church, and the Rev.
George S. Maxwell, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church.  Burial was in the
Green Mount Cemetery.
Mr. Sellers was born in Richhill Township, June 28, 1851, a son of
George and Elizabeth Morris*  Sellers.  He was married in 1884 to Lucy L.
Inghram, who survives.  He was the last of a family of five children.  He was a
member of the Baptist Church and all of his married life was spent in Waynesburg.
When a young man Mr. Sellers learned the carpentry trade, which he
followed for a number of years.  He later engaged in Photography
business, which he followed for 18 years.  In later years he also spent much time
at the cabinet business, and until fours years ago, when he was forced to
give up all work because of a heart ailment, he was kept quite busy doing
over antique furniture.
His death was due to heart ailments and other complications.

(the above was from one of the Waynesburg papers - no citation is on the
clipping)

I believe Frank's parents are in the 1850 Greene County Census as
household 271 - see Green County page -
http://www.netins.net/showcase/sellerfamily/pagreene.htm

He does appear in the 1880 Census, Greene County, PA:

Elisabeth   63  Wife                PA  NJ  PA

Frank - do you know who would be the parents of  both George and
Elizabeth Morris*  Sellers? - thanks

Many of the files are of Marshall & Ohio  County soldiers.  Others are from
Greene and Washington Counties in PA.   I focused on the soldiers whose Civil
War medals I own, as well as on the soldiers for the 12th Infantry and the
1st Cavalry.

It will take a very long time to get through these files, although, for the
most part, we only had time to copy a few pages from each file.

I made a list of the pension files I have:
