Marie:

You thought I would be in contact with Sollars, but no response yet.  I have obit for Aditha Ann (Sollars)
Ashlock on March 8, 1951.  It lists as relatives and friends that attended funeral as: Mr. and Mrs. Milo Sollors of
Rock Island, Mrs Laura Berry of Ft. Madison, Mrs A. D. Dunn and Marshall Dunn of Rock Island and Mrs
Charles Sementer of Chillicothe, Ill.  I also have Aditha's husband, William Glazebrook Ashlock obit and picture
of their tombstone in LaPlata cemetery in Mo.  I have two generations of family pictures and would like to be in
contact with their ancestors.  Thank you very much.

Buddy and Dee Ann,
   You have come to the right place, thanks to Marie, Aditha Ann Sollars
Ashlock was my 2nd cousin 1 time removed. Her father and mother were
William
and Elinor Walker Sollars of Charleston, Lee Co., Iowa.  William was mine
host of the Buckhorn Tavern and Stage stop there for many years.  Her
grandparents were Azariah and Mary Waggoner Sollars who went on to
California in 1860, where they lived out their lives. I would most greatly
appreciate any and all information you can share with me about her, her
husband and children, the obituaries and the pictures. and in  I would be
happy to answer any questions you might have and help you in anyway I can
in
your research.
   Are you a descendant of William and Aditha?  I have been trying for
years
to make contact with any of them.  I know she had a son, John William
Ashlock (1896-1921) and that he was married and had two daughters, Dorothy
Ashlock Miller (3 May 1919) and Helen Loraine Ashlock Whitworth (12 Oct
1921).... I have notes for Helen that she had six children (Four known):
1. Jimmy adopted by Mrs. Ora Gingerich,  Kolona, Iowa;
2. Billy adopted by Mrs. Ralph Gingerich,  Wellman, Iowa;
3. Dorothy adopted by Mrs. Allen Roth,    Wayland, Iowa;
4. Peggy adopted by  Mrs. Milton Roth,     Mt.Pleasant, Iowa.

If you are a descendant of William and Aditha, "hello cousin!"  I know we
can help each other in our research. I am really looking forward to hearing
from you, and our hopefully ongoing exchange.

Thanks Marie for forwarding Buddy's message on to me.
