The original of the following transcribed affidavit was found in the 1898 Chancery Court case, J. J. Sellers vs. E. T. Sellers, et al, held by the Grainger County Archives in Rutledge, Tennessee:

State of Tenn.
Union County

J. J. Sellers makes oath that E. T. Sellers died in the State of Texas on or about June 1, 1898, this information was received from the mother of said E. T. Sellers who was present with him at the time of his death. That said Sellers left surviving him three daughters as follows Lillie, Lula and Lockie Sellers all are minors under 21 years of age.

The said E. T. Sellers was one of the defendants in the case of myself vs. E. T. Sellers and H. T. Cooper in Chancery Court at Rutledge Tenn.

AMIE ANNE SELLERS. 1850 census, Grainger Co. TN district (unreadable)
dwelling 1403, age 25 b. TN. Living next door to John and Elinder Sellers,
her parents. 1860 census Union County, TN. Filed for Confederate widow's
pension from Johnson Co. Arkansas. She came to AR late in life to live with
her son George William Chandler, whose father is Joseph Thomas Chandler
(came about 1878). Amie is buried in Lee cemetery in Clarksville without a
headstone. She died 19 May 1907 at Clarksville.
