Sydney Sellers is my great-great-grandfather.  He died 27 July 1881.
His children are Osie (my great-grandmother), Lillian, Sidney, Floyd and
Pete.  Osie was born in Duncan, Oklahoma. (Stephens Co, msh) From there she went to
Madera, California, where she is buried.

His wife is Clara Stevens also born in TX.  Buried in San Berndino, CA.

I am trying to find his and her parents and where in Texas they was
born.  I don't know where they were married.  Somewhere in Texas or
possibly in Oklahoma since grandma Osie is the oldest and that is where
she was born.

I have just started researching this line of my family so my information
is sketchy and this is all the information I could get from my immediate
family.

Thanks for the help.  Although I have information on Osie it is Sydney
that I am having a hard time finding.  I guess I will just have to check
all of the counties closed to Stephens, Oklahoma.

Am a bit confused about your last e-mail.  I don't intent to stop
looking for my Sellers line.  I just figured that if I continued to look
for the Dotson line the Sellers line will show up somewhere close by.

As for Osie's family I am it as far as research goes, at least for my
particular line. Osie is the mother of my grandfather Sydney Dotson who
died in 1966.  He is the father of my mother Carole Dotson.  My
grandfathers family all live in California still as far as I know, two
of his brothers and 1 sister have died also.  My mother has talked to
her living relatives many times and I have all of the information that
they told her.

As for Duncan, Stephens Oklahoma, I am not sure which territory it was
in but will continue to research it out. I am just beginning to research
this particular line.  I am having trouble with my Dotson, Sellers,
Glass & Ward lines.  I have been "stuck" 4 generations back with each of
them.  But I am continuing to look for all of them and when I find
whatever information I find with the Sellers (or any of my other lines)
I will be more than happy to share it.

I just got off the phone with my mother and she said that this is
definitely our family.   Sid Sellers & the S.S. Sellers are ours.

I don' have copies of any obits but am looking for them.  Sidney Samuel
Sellers died in Bloomington, Riverside, CA his wife Clara Stevens
Sellers died 8 Mar 1971 in San Bernadino, San Bernadino, CA.  I will
look for her obit too...maybe that will have more information on her
family.

There children are who are listed on the cesnsus' you found that I
didn't have.  My mother says she remember Uncle Hez (Hezekiah).  There
are a couple of them I didn't know about.

Grandma Osie is buried in Madera, Madera, CA

I don't know anything more about this family but as I find I will
certainly share.  I forwarded this  informatin to my mother and if she
remembers anything more will pass it along.
