Re: ZELLER(S)/LANCASTER CO,PA
I'm new to this list and am looking for the family below.
"Adam and Catherine (Zeller) Groves, who located in Delaware
County, Ohio,
with their family, during the 'thirties', and remained there until
their
emigration, in 1860, to Clinton County, Iowa.
Adam and Catherine Groves had
a family of seven daughters and two sons who grew to maturity, and
whose
names are as follows: Martin V.; Joseph; Sarah, wife of Fowler Long;
Mary,
wife of Henry Wise; Christiana, married Richard Kimball Eastman;
Alvira,
married a Mr. Grover; Melissa, wife of Z. Drake; Martha, wife of
David
Kncade and Maria, who married a Mr. Black."
Christiana b. 12 May 1831 Pennsylvania, d.8 Aug 1868 Union Twp, Putnam
Co,
Ohio, m. Richard Eastman 7 Jan
1853 in Champaign Co, Ohio.
Appreciate any info on this family.
Sylvia
I can't tell by census if we have a ZELLER family here or not. Have
you
extracted the 1850 census on your family and any
SELLERS/ZELLERS/CELLARS?
We would appreciate copy of same.
GROVES are not listed in the 1875 Iowa Atlas - We have SELLERS posted
on
the Clinton Co, Ia page - If you have the GROVES census info for
Clinton
Co, Ia, please share, will see if any living close - Looked like
our
SELLERS may be connected to Warren Co, Oh..
I see your subject links you to Lancaster Co, Pa - means what?
Linked your page to these counties and perhaps you'll receive some
info
and you can share with
us.=http://showcase.netins.net/web/sellerfamily/sylvia.htm
Thanks, marie, iowa
I have sent the query below and been very confused with some of the
responses. This is the ONLY information I have. I found it
in the Portrait
and Biographical Record, Putnam County (Ohio) 1896. This is the
first
reference I have found to the Zeller surname.
Am I on the wrong list? I have tried following some of the links
posted and
couuldn't make sense to it all. Did I miss an explanation page somewhere?
Does anyone have this Catherine Zeller marrying an Adam Grove in
their
family tree? Or is this just list of head of family census record
postings?

listed as below:

There is an Adam and Catherine "Groveck" (sic)in 1870 Clinton Co

Also a Martin Grove!

A marriage for Fowler Long to Sarah Grove in
Delaware Co OH as well--they were in the 1850 census with a child.
