I decend through Drury and Demaris' son Hartwell then William Lafayette b 1844, John Madison b 1868,
Joseph b 1891, John Edward b 1917 then me.

I can't give much info on the Hart's because I don't have much. I did find them listed on ancestry.com but
since it is unverified info I don't want to pass it along. I will give the abstract of Thomas Hart's will here
then will post the whole thing under wills when I have had a chance to transcribe it.
The abstract came from "Smith Co TN Wills 1803-1896" compiled by: FC Key, Sue W Maggart & Jane C Turner; Cathage TN 1985. FHL US/CAN 976.852 P2k.

SUSAN, thank you for copy of the original will. This helps us document at least two of our SELLERS marriages to these
  HART daughters.
There is some indication these families came from NASH CO, NC and we need a little more documents on the HART family.
Thank you for sharing. marie, iowa

Yes the Hart's did come from Nash Co NC. I've been doing a lot of research on them.  Thomas Hart's wife was Mary Melton.  The Melton's were in Nash Co way back - by at least 1720.  I haven't gotten as far back on the Hart's but Thomas Hart Sr got a  Granville Grant in Edgecombe Co NC (parent Co of Nash Co) in 1753.
