Jackson McKarrell Morgan, known as Mack, was my husband's Great Great
Grandfather. Mack's parents were John Morgan and Henrietta Elizabeth Sellers,
they had ten children. Henrietta Elizabeth was the daughter of McCarrol
Sellers and Louisa Jordan. I think that's the middle name connection,
spelled different pronounced the same.

======================
The only Sellers I have is two on the 1910 census of Chesterfield
Co. The
only reason I have them is that they are on a copy of page 217 B
that I
made of some of my Lowerys. They are; Susannah Sellers, head
of household, age
72, and single. The other is her sister, Lucy Sellers, age 67 and
single.
They both were born in SC and both parents were born in SC.
SOMETIMES, we have Older county minutes that pertain to OLDER records
in
these counties - sometimes 30/40 yrs ago -
I do Not know dates of the debt/wills they are discussing -
But, probably can be ordered -
Claims, etc continue into 1851
Check your Names/ages on census -

In the early days of the church a number of preachers were raised
up
amongst them to wit: Frame Woods, who was called after the Rev. Vining, then resigned
and was
called again in 1810 and resigned again in February 1815; Jeremiah Lewis who presided
after Rev.
Woods' first term and pastored until his death; Rev. John Ellis; and the Rev. Joel
Gulledge
who was licensed by the church and later ordained and called to pastor the church.

Rev. Gulledge was called on June 15, 1816, and in June of 1818
the
church approved the hiring
of a man to tend Joel's farm and tend to his business affairs
while he

1820 he asked permission of the church to go into western countries

preach the gospel. A
letter of testimony was written for him with their blessing
but by
October of the same year he
returned in poor health and resumed his pastoral duties.
I just posted a copy of the Sellers
Mill located in Chesterfield County, SC
on a web page: http://www.ghg.net/sellers/html/mill2.htm
It is slow-loading, but my copy is so bad, I had to do it that way
so you
could read it.
Marie, as far as Marie Wiggins' information regarding the Cook and
Sellers
families, your guess is as good as mine. All I have is what I sent
you,
which just says that Daniel, Samuel, and Allie all went somewhere
in
Alabama.
re: (Daniel COOK lived in Anson County, and he had married Ruth MOULTRIE.
They had a large family, including several daughters. One of these
daughters, Allie COOK married Samuel SELLERS. In 1829 Daniel COOK
moved
all of his family to Alabama. Samuel and Allie SELLERS went with
them.
Samuel SELLERS was the son of Roland SELLERS, Sr. of Chesterfield
County, S.C.)
(Did they go to WILCOX CO, AL? msh)
As for Martha and Sarah (below), I just have that Sarah (Pratt Brooks,
wife
of Roland) died c. 1882 is the daughter of Samuel Pratt and Clarinda
Teal,
and Martha (Pratt Brooks) is her daughter who married Phillip Sellers
(brother of Roland, son of Roland). So mother and daughter married
brothers.
Marie mentioned that in the Archives in Raleigh in the Search Room,
there
is
a box that contains a file (Call #C.R. .0005 508.44) on Phillip A.
(or
P.A.)
Sellers. In the file is a lawsuit concerning Martha. There is also
a file
on
Sarah in the same box. All this has something to do with Samuel Pratt's
will.
re: Research has shown us that Roland (Rolin R) and Phillip A. are
brothers,
married to mother (Sarah) and daughter (Martha). Both men are the
sons
of Roland SELLERS of Chesterfield County, SC, and are brothers of
Samuel, and all are sons of Roland of Chesterfield County, SC, and
that
Roland is the son of Phillip SELLERS who sold land to James RATLIFF
