FLOWERS. James I. Marlowe (8011 Hillcrest Drive, Manassas, VA 22111) seeking info on
ancestry of Henry Flowers b. 1755/74 (SC?) d. 182? Brunswick Co. N.C., had sons Henry and
Bennet. Apparently living Georgetown Dist. SC 1790. Is statement of W.W. Sellers in The
History of Marion County, that the large Flowers clan resided there in the early 1800's
descendants of immigrant James Flowers, supported by record of documentation? Also need
parents of James Montgomery b. 1755/74 d. 182? Brunswick Co. N.C. Had children; James,
Sarah, Isabella. Possibly related to numerous Montgomery families in Horry-Georgetown area.

Hazel Crowson Sellers of North Carolina in her book on Old South Carolina Churches says that
John Duncan was joined by his friends Joseph Adair and Robert Long, both of whom were
Revolutionary War soldiers, and that Hezekiah Balch held services at Duncan's Creek as early as
1752. Joseph Palmer, a minister, is also said to have been a friend of John Duncan, and was so
popular that when he went to Indiana in 1828 a number of the old friends followed him.

Hazel Crowson Sellers of North Carolina in her book on Old South
Carolina Churches says that John
Duncan was joined by his friends Joseph Adair and Robert Long, both of
whom were Revolutionary
War soldiers, and that Hezekiah Balch held services at Duncan's Creek
as early as 1752. Joseph
Palmer, a minister, is also said to have been a friend of John Duncan,
and was so popular that when
he went to Indiana in 1828 a number of the old friends followed him.

                             Surname: Horn, Horne

Richard Horn, Sherod Horn, Sherwood Horn, and Needham Ephraim Horn. All appear in Darlington
Co. census records, State Land Grants, Deeds from 1790's into early 1800's. I am most possitive
they were brothers, except I do not have
any wills or family bibles to link them. Sherod Horn is my
gr-gr-gr grandfather.He named my gr-gr grandfather Needham
E. Horne. Needham was born 1782 in NC. The Horns that appear in Darlington Co. after early
1800's are most likely Richard Horn's children and grand children.
