Quoting from book above... page 275...
"Samuel Sellers and
his family of fifteen, several of whom were
already married, moved from Brunswick County, North Carolina, to what was
then Pike county, Missouri Beat, Alabama. They reached their homestead,
twenty-five miles north of Troy, Alabama, on the Three Notch Road, January
29, 1835. The Sellers Cemetery is located on this land near the site of
the original home of Sammuel Sellers (This fact given by Charles Ellis
SEllers, Troy, Alabama, in 1960)."
I hope someone is
submitting material to the Pike County, Alabama
Heritage Book on this Sellers family. If you don't have time to write the
story, please submit any pictures you might have and be sure and put a
caption and contact person.

My husband comes off of William Green "Buck" Childs and Louisa
Sellers thru
their son Elisha Columbus Childs and his first wife Emma F Hutchison.
Emma
died and he married Mary Julia(Mollie) Gill. My husbands ggrandmother was
Bama Ora Amera Childs. Bama 1869-1937 married Malachi Reeves Sims, Jr d
3-9-1898. M. R. sims and his father, M.R. Sims, Sr have long been brick
walls to me forever. I've never worked on the Sellars but seeing your
post
makes me wonder if they come into the Pridgen line in NC. Some Sellers do
and Bladen and Brunswick are adjoining counties. I have the Childs by
John
Edward Childs if it will help anyone.
