From:           Hugh and Sandy Sellers <> >From 'SELLERS LETTERS' (C) M. Sims Samuel SELLERS - inscribed on the pension rolls of KY for $8 per month, July 17, 1823. He resided in Harrison Co, KY.  His afficavit was recorded in Harrison Co, KY Circuit Court record, Sept 15, 1820, indicated he was 68 at the time. He had enlisted about 1777 at Shippensburg, Cumberland Co, PA where he lived.  He served one year under Capt Isaac MILLER, in the 8th PA Regiment.  He also served under Capt John FINLEY.  He was in General MCINTOSH's Indian expeditions.  He stated he was (in 1820) "incapable from my age and infirmity to support myself by labour or school keeping. I have no family."  He had been a school master.  Pension granted. A letter in the file from Mrs. J. Dwight Dean of Fredericktown, OH inquired about Samuel SELLERS from England to Darby Twp, Chester Co, PA in 1682 and about Phillip Henry SELERS of German who went to Philadelphia in 1728 and later to Bucks Co, PA and died in 1769 (info in letter) An affidavit by Williams WOODS in 1823 referred to Samuel SELLERS "now of Grant Co, KY, formerly of Cumberland Co, PA.
