===========
proven by Rev War records of Wm Pridgeon 1732 and
will of Samuel Sellers 1784 Sampson Co,NC (listed above)
Wm Pridgeon 1732/1855 states he was born 1732 DUPLIN =
1775 he enlisted in DUPLIN CO and
lived on a creek called Cowhiffle
(we do have some Pridgeon land on Cowhiffle
and after service he lived in Duplin, Brunswick
and Bladen Co, NC
1832 Wm Pridgeon states= I now live in Bladen - 3 miles from
Elizabeth Town,
ONLY been in present neighborhood 2 1/2 to 3 months
Old neighbors were=
New neighbors are=
(some of these Old neighbors appear to be in 1820 Bladen? But,
some names
are in New Hanover-
OR would he make this statement, if he just moved a few miles
to another township, in same county??? msh.
New Hanover made in 1729 from Craven
Bladen made in 1734 from New Hanover
Duplin made in 1750 from New Hanover
Brunswick made in 1764 from New Hanover/Bladen
Sampson made in 1784 from New Hanover and Duplin
BUT, on this search - TRYING to find which child of Wm PRIDGEONS
married
Abraham SELLERS and Elizabeth SELLERS, children of SAMUEL SELLERS
1720/30 - 1784 Sampson Co, NC
which we are estimating kids born ca 1750/60 and married 1770/80
IT appears from SAMUEL SELLERS 1720/30 land records,
1751/6/7 he is in Duplin/New Hanover Co, NC =
1757 Duplin Co, NC, Samuel SELERS sells 100 acres on W.
side os six runs bet Hays and Clark and James
(part of Abraham SELLERS grant) to Mathew PRIDGEON -
Which Mathew PRIDGEON is this? Brother/Cousin or Father? of
Wm 1732??
Where is son of Wm Pridgeon? - probably home-born ca 1750/60
and later
I also see the 1832 testimony of John FOWLER, Rev War from Duplin?
(ON Wm PRIDGEN's REV WAR FILE?)
Now living in Columbus Co, NC and court
= Elisha SELLERS which would be son of ?
(check will of Elisha SELLERS 1801? and children(memory)
There is also a Lazarus COOK and Shadrock REGISTER associated with this Samuel SELLERS family-

BETTY,
Thank you for sharing.
I know, not All questions can be answered now, but, things
to research on and
study will help us find these answers.
And Share info we collect - esp to these counties we are in and
went to.
I don't believe we have proven this SAMUEL SELLERS to
a 1790 county/state.
Married 1767 =
He had kids born 1767/1790=23 years old in 1790 when we have proved
him in GA.
Yes, I believe some of these kids could have stayed in this NC
area.
Esp the daughters were probably married Before 1790.
And, He may have owned More land than this 284 acres (that
he sold in 1790)
that his other kids had is a possibility.
AND we do have SELLERS/MERRITT marriages.
DON'T know if this NATHANIEL MERRITT connects to them? , Who did
he marry?
DANIEL MERRITT married SELLERS and had kids = don't have the record
out now.
I believe it is posted on SELLERS pages.
NOV, 1790 (1790 census taken when? probably before this and he should
be on census? )
SAMUEL SELLERS, JR of GEORGIA still owned and sold the land
in SAMPSON/DUPLIN
CO, NC
that had been patented to SAMUEL SELLERS.
WAS this land patented to SAMUEL SELLERS with brother ABRAHAM SELLERS ?
Was this land patented to SAMUEL SELLERS , father of ZILPA SELLERS?
OR was this the land JACOB SELLERS owned = possibly father of this
SAMUEL
SELLERS JR
MY/OUR deed records only go to 1800/05?
I believe there is a Newer Book. Does Anyone Have the Extractions
from it?
PRIDGENS, BOWENS, and others are connected to this area of GA.
PRIDGENS married Two of our SELLERS.
ONE of them Went to this area of GA ca 1830 = ABRAHAM SELLERS and
wife ELIZ
PRIDGEN
SO, they are still in NC? and with kids born in 1820/30 in NC =
1850 census
birth places=
BUT ELIZABETH PRIDGEN, dau of SAMUEL SELLERS IN 1784 may have alREADY
gone to
GA,
is she the WIDOW in 1827 GA?
in same area as LUKE PRIDGEN, related to these families that also
went to ca
1830-
AGES are Critical here = could be their kids also OR cousins.
Need to connect ages of these families also.
1800-1830 GEORGIA = need county records.
THANKS for sharing and understanding,
marie, iowa
