RONNIE, thank you! - We are very much in need of connection when PA/NC- worked on John/George SELLERS from Phillip SELLERS in PA, and tried to connect to 1810 NC area- NOT proven- SO would appreciate any info we can work on in this area. Send some names/dates/ages/marriages - and PLACES , so we can see what they look like and perhaps we can connect to SOMEONE and go from there. PA needs links/connections to other areas OR we won't be able to follow up! We try and make a page for YOU and link to those counties where they are and went- IT HELPS- but, still takes much input from you! SEND what you can, THANKS for sharing SELLERS, marie, iowa
To Sellers-L@rootsweb.com Marie I'm sorry to say I don't have much information on John Sellers. My family received a copy of the Sellers/Sellars family tree from my Grandfather's cousin Frank Hyde Sellars in 1965. He ended with my generation. It seems the first part of his information came from his grandfather James Elias Sellers/Sellars as he remembered it. James Elias Sellers was born July 20,1834 in Alabama and died July 29,1923 in Shannon Co. Mo. His father was William Sellers born about 1802 in or near Columbia, South Carolina and died December 27,1891 in Shannon Co. Mo. His father (according to information handed down from father to son) was a John Sellers of North Carolina. This is the person I feel I need to prove. At this point it seems he "Frank Hyde Sellars" started research to find our ancestry. In the document I have He researched two families in Pa. The family of Philip Heinrich Soller who had a son Philip Henry, who had among other children two son's John and George, who migrated to North Carolina. The other family was from England. Samuel Sellers migrated from England to Phil. Pa. in 1681. He had a son Samuel, who had a son John who married Anne Gibson. They had among other children, two son's John and George. He "Frank" said this John and George migrated to North Carolina, and we are descended from this, the English family. Now you know why I am looking for John Sellers of NC. John Sellers and his wife (name unknown) had seven son's. They are Samuel, Thomas, George, James, my ggggrandfather William, John, and David. I don't know in what order these son's were born except that William was the fifth son. William Sellers b: abt.1802 at or near Columbia, S.C. d: Dec. 27, 1891 at Alley Spring, Shannon Co.
