Hi Marie,  my name is Patrick Wood and I'm descended from Elizabeth Sellers married Levy Jackson in
1780 in Wilkes Co. N.C.  I think her brother was a John Sellers. I was told that you were the expert on
Sellers in N.C.  If so maybe you know who John and Elizabeth's parents were. Could it have been Robert
Sellers Sr.? Please let me know, thanx.

Sellers and Mary Margaret "Maggie" Strunk, sister of Thomas Jefferson, Jr,.
Pulaski/McCreary County, KY area.  Clara Sellers is Patrick's grandmother.

Somerset Lumber & Coal Company, of the 1941 timekeepers.  Thomas
Jefferson Sellers, Jr. is the man on the left.  We don't know who the baby
or the other man are.  Thomas Jefferson Sellers, Jr. is the son of Thomas
Jefferson Sellers and Mary Margaret "Maggie" Strunk, brother of Clara Toni,
William McKinley and Ava Western Sellers.  He married Mable Trainham.

Their children:
Henry C. Sellers b. Dec 16, 1859 in Wayne Co., Ky. - d. April 1882 in Wayne
Co., Ky. He didn't marry. He is buried in Carter Cemetary.

Thomas Jefferson Sellers b. Sept 5, 1861 in Wayne Co. - d. Mar 28, 1899 in
Wayne Co. and married Mary Margaret "Maggie" Strunk.

Ulyssis "Grant" Sellers b. Mar 1, 1866 iin Wayne co. Ky. - c. July 27,
1892.
He married Clemmie Strunk Sept 4, 1890 in Scott Co. Tn. She is some
relation
to Emberson Strunk. Maybe he's her father.

D. Parker Sellers b. Aug 12, 1868 in Wayne Co. - d. Nov 14, 1949 in
Somerset, Pulaski Co., Ky. Married Nancy Deese Clark.

Susie Sellers b. May 4, 18871 in Wayne. Co. Ky, - d. Apr 1958.  Married
Pierson Buren Hughes.

Sarah Abigail Sellers b. Mar 22, 1874 In Wayne Co. Ky. - d. Dec 26, 1969 in
Pulaski Co. Married James Cornelius Roberts.

Elizabeth "Lizzie" Sellers b. Dec 24, 1876 - d. April 3, 1974.  Married
Logan Keith.

Nancy Charlotte Sellers b. June 22, 1879 - d. July 19, 1932 in Campbell Co.
Ky..  Married George Keith

That's all I have on Bailey's family. I came down thru Thomas Jefferson
Sellers and I have more info on that line. There is a Sellers book that
I've
seen that has everything in it.

We have NO info on Wilkes Co, NC except the marriage Aug 24,1780 of Levy
JACKSON adn Elizabeth SELLARS, surety John SELLERS.
I would think Father first instead of brother, But, I don't remember any
other info we have on this.
There possibly is some ROBERTS or JACKSON info in Wilkes Co, NC someone
should extract and send.
Its also possible our some of our SELLERS land of Burke Co was in the Area
that became Rutherford?

PLEASE, help with any Documents, etc you have or can find to share with us.

I've often wondered how he got his name, Bailey.  Then I found out that
Sarah and Elisha Roberts had a brother, Bailey.  Then I found out that
their father, William Roberts, had the middle name of Bailey.  Since
William Bailey Roberts is one of our  "dead ends" I think it would behoove
us to locate the Roberts/Bailey connection.  Bailey could have been
William's mother's maiden name or his father's mother's maiden name.
Something like that. Does anyone have any ideas about this?  I've also
directed this to the Roberts group.=
I'm descended from William Bailey Roberts and Lydia Ponder and many of you
are also. They had a son Bailey Roberts and their daughter Sarah, who
married John (Jackson) Sellers, had a son Bailey Sellers. This name Bailey
has to be a family name and I'm wondering if  William Roberts mother could
have been a Bailey. I need help on this one. I've located a couple of
Roberts and Bailey marriages but nothing I can verify as ours.

I think this is an important part of our history and perhaps our Sellers
genealogy that
might be overlooked.  Margaret MOUNCE, daughter of John Mounce, wife of
Elisha ROBERTS , was first married to Tuckahoe Doublehead. Margaret and Tuckahoe
had two children. Tuckahoe was murdered. What happened to the two children? Check

search. I
also found out that John Mounce was one of the original settlers of
Boonesboro. It says

ELISHA ROBERTS that married MARGARET MOUNCE.
They were the parents of Rachel Roberts, who married Alexander
Elias Strunk.  Rachel Roberts and Alexander Elias Strunk were the parents
of
Mary Margaret "Maggie"Strunk, who married Thomas Jefferson Sellers.  This

I'm wondering if the brother, John Sellers, is the John Sellers on Levy Jackson and
Elizabeth Sellers marriage bond. That would make Elizabeth Sellers Jackson the niece
of Elizabeth Sellers Moore. Is this something that could be looked into further by
the group? I think the senior John Sellers is from Penn.

And a JOHN SELLERS in 1786 New HANOVER CO, NC in 1786.

I don't know where this THOMAS and ELIZABETH SELLERS MOORE went to after they sold
their land in 1774.
There is a JOHN SELLARS and THOMAS MORE on the 1778 CAMDEN , S.C. tax list.
