Washington County is one of the four counties into which the Northwest
        Territory was divided, prior to Ohio's statehood in 1803.

        Washington County's neighbors are

            Athens County to the southwest,
            Morgan County to the northwest,
            Noble County to the north,
            Monroe County to the northeast, and
            Ohio River to the east and south.

        Across the Ohio River, which is Washington County's eastern and southern border, are Tyler, Pleasants and        Wood Counties in the State of West Virginia.

Ignacious Sollars born abt 1820 in WV.  Married to Mary ?  before 1864.  Children born in WV.  Names of children that I have is Jennie, Emma S. and Albert.  Mary was the mother of 12 according to 1900 Washington county, Ohio census.  Mary is a widow. All the census information says these Sollars born in WV.

FROM ROBERT SOLLARS
Robert C. Sollars [sollars@concentric.net]

Ignatious Sollers (1820-c1895) married Mary Ravencroft/Ravencraft, 14 Sep 1862, Alleghany Co., MD.  To this marriage was born;
1.Jennie B. Sollers (1864 VA) who married Wilder D. Jones (1843-1900 OH), 11 Jun 1884, washington Co., OH.
2. Emma Sollers (1867 WV) who married John Landers 24 Dec 1888, Decatur Twp., Washington Co., OH.
3. Albert I.(Ignatious) Sollers (1867 WV- 22 Jan 1922, Athens Co., OH) who married ?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pearl Sollars Smith, daughter of Andrew and Catherine Paugh Sollars, in 1980, spoke to me about having a relative, Ignatius Sollars, who moved on from Mineral Co., WV, losing contact with the rest of the WV Sollars line. This is likely that Ignatius Sollars:

Ignatius Sollars in or before 1862, ventured into Allegany Co., Maryland where he met and married Mary Ravenscraft on 19 Sep 1862. Was Ignatius Sollars in the Civil War. This marriage was the first found on him. Was he in the Union Army when he met and married Mary Ravenscraft. This marriage was found on a fiche (Page 7, 193) in the LDS Library. The name is in error spelled: JQUATIUS SOLLERS. It is easy to see how the written name of "Ignatius" could appear to be "Jquatius" to the person copying the original record.
