I have collected abstracts of two Preble County court records
that indicate for Mar. 15 1819, and Nov. 8, 1819, that Robert Sellers,
Joseph Sellers, and others, incl. Jacob Hawk - were brought to court
by
the State of Ohio for "rioting." I wanted to research
farther on this,
esp to try to see if the Joseph was Joe Sr. or Jr. and to get the
final
judgment (which was not made explicit on the abstracting).
I've not
done that, yet.
3) There is an 1820 tax record entry for Robert
Sellers, Estate of,
for 80 acres Range 2, Township 7, Section 4, SW Part. This
seems to
indicate Robert died before this tax was assessed (in 1920 for the
year
1819). I haven't been able to pursue this to collect the info
for the
deed that conveyed this land to him, nor have I been able to see
what
eventually happened to it ... yet. But it does appear to be
the same
land deeded to "Melinda," see above.
