I'm going to list a portion of the names in the 1794 ledger of John
Stites Gano
and Wm Stanley,of Columbia.   1794 is the year of the Indian's defeat at
Fallen
Timbers, but a year before the Treaty of Greenville, that allowed permanent
settlement in
Clermont Co,Oh. There was,1788-95,settlement in forts along the 11-12
miles of the Little Miami River bottoms west of Milford,Clermont Co. This
store was roughly a mile west of the Little Miami, and a block or two
north of the Ohio River. 10 miles west of Clermont Co, but many
pre-Clermonters lived there. [store was sw Lunken Airport today]
