I'm working with 2 pages. One is an 1808 records of several meetings.
2nd is a roster of members,and how added,or left membership 1805-1827.
And I'm thinking out loud.
And there are puzzles. I know of at least 2 Baptist ministers in-near
BETHEL
not mentioned. None of the Maine Yankeetown people are mentioned. To
speed typing,
I'm skipping the DENHAM,BURKE,CRANE,BECK families who were the major
families.
Admitted by Baptism
1 Anny Lewis, and soon excluded by letter. 1805? Who was she?  Welsh
5 JOHN FRAZEE  [county line-Starling Rd-puzzle is that REV MOSES FRAZEE
and
Stephen FRAZEE,and Musgrove are not mentioned.
9 Daniel Osborne, then 10,Mary Brown, and then Abijah Osborne asks to be
excluded.
11 Esther SMITH,-LIKELY FROM N.E.NJ
14 Rebecca Hewitt
12+ 13 were Obed E. and Sarah [cox?] Denham [Jr]
15 Moses Edwards Jr   [b Lyons Farm,NJ?]
21 sarah GIBS
20 Rachel Stulz
18 Mary Haltz
23 John k morri,and wife Polly,1829.
 Recieved by Letter
1 Ruth Goble, who would be dismissed by letter,5
3+4 are Rev Moses and Sarah Hutchings, who would be Excluded 5+6
The church met at Williamsburg,and recieved,by letter,Christian
Hartman,and
Hutchison wife, and Elizabeth Robins and Rebecca BRICKER
17 recieved by letter is Abel Morgan, who goes back to the Welsh tract
of the Del line.
Revs Timothy and Moses Edwards come from Lyons Farm,NJ
Elizabeth Bennett [Maine?]
 Jonathan Tingley - 1827?  tanner. LEVI'S SON.

Excluded by letter 1  KELLY BURK,of the founders.
D South,not mentioned jining,is excluded.
Wm and Pricilla Jackson.
1827 Affa Meeker.
Sears Crane,of the major families is the only 1 dismissed by letter,or
excluded,by 1827 [plus BURK].
Will somebody please send me a link to the 1820 Clermont census.
Rev John Denham's wife,GWIN,was the 1st member to die. She was
Welsh, and blond. We know Obed and Mary Ball Denham d abt 1817,
so she died before, but after 1805.
I've got many problems with who was "not" on the list.  I do not know
enough Baptist churches near Bethel.
It should be emembered the founder,Obed Denham, bought the land
about 1796,and moved hee,1797,and was selling land by then, but could
not get a deed til 1811,so that he could give others deeds. Which made
many mad at him. The founders were from NJ,just west of Staten Island,NY
As were many of the others.   A NJ Baptist church, an a NC Baptist
church,
and a Maine Baptist  church, and ? within miles of Bethel.???????

Thank you,Marie.  Viewed a few pages last night. More today.
Robert@stubbs.com   I would not be surprized if the 1820 Ohio and
Washington Twnsp lines. [now Monroe and Washington,  split Reasin
and Wm Debruler's farms. Almost certainly it did,for Wm Debruler's,1826
Washington township tax,not Monroe. a piece of Woodford's military survey
extended into Washington.
And,almost surely,they bought from my George Brown,d 1814,or his
excrs,David and Robert Brown.
