Recently found these "Sailors" while reading through some of Tryon County
North Carolina Minutes of the Court of Common Pleas & Quarter sessions

Jan. term 1772

Barbara Sailer, adm'x of the Estate of Jacob Link deceased Comes into court
by Waightstill Avery her Attorney and produces a settlement of the estate
sales of Jacob Link which being Examined & approved by the court there
appears to be in the hands of the administrator <pounds> 79.9 which was
ordered to be on record.

Oct. term 1772

Ordered by the court that Michael Rudiseal be appointed Guardian to
Link, Jacob, Catherine & John Link Orphans of Jacob Link Deceased he
for Security Jacob Costner bound in the sum of One hundred and Fifty

(Note:  I don't know the relationship between Barbara Sailor [Sellars] and
Jacob Link.  Jacob Link was married to Catharine Rudisill, daughter of
Michael Rudisill, named as Guardian to her minor children, listed above)

Jan. term 1773

James Kelly of this County Came into Open court of his own free will and
accord. and in the Presence of said Court did acknowledge that a Quarrel
between him and a certain Leonard Sailor on the Evening of the 26 Day of
1773 he Bite of the upper part of the Left Ear of him the said Leonard
who prays the Same to be recorded in the Minutes of the court.

Jan. term 1773

A bill of Sale from James Kelly to Leonard Sailor for a negro wench named
Priscilla dated 27th day of January 1773.  Acknowledged in Open Court by
said James Kelly.

July term 1769

Ordered by the court that Letters of Administration be granted to Katherine
Sailor of the Goods & Chattels of Joseph Sailor Deceased Who took the oath
an administrator and proposed for Security Leonard Sailor and Welrich
bound in the sum of 200 pounds.  Granted.

(Note:  Welrich Crowder is Ulrich Krater/Ulrich Crowder who received a
Grant 21 April 1764 of 450 acres in Mecklenburg Co., NC (that portion of
Mecklenburg later was incorporated into the newly formed Tryon Co., NC), on
Whitner's (Heinrich Weidner/Henry Whitner) Muddy branch, on the waters of
South Fork of the Catawba River.  Ulrich Crowder established a town which
called Ulrichsburg (later Crowdertown), selling lots to German settlers.
This land is now located in Catawba Co., NC (Catawba formed from part of
Lincoln in 1842), between present day Hickory and Newton.)

July term 1769

A Deed of Sale from Wm. Armstrong & Co. to Jacob Sides Dated the 27th day
March 1769 for 200 acres of Land Proved by Leonard Sailor.  Ordered to be

April term 1770

A Deed of Sale from Frederick Knapper to Frederick Shinker dated the 30th
of December 1769 for 200 acres proved by Leonard Sailor Evidence thereto.
Ordered to be registered.

April term 1770

A Deed of Sale from Robert Abernathy & Sarah his wife to Ulrick Crowder
the 21st day of Feby 1770 for (illegible) of land proved by Leonard Sailor
Evidence thereto.  Ordered to be Registered.

April term 1772

On motion of John Dunn ordered by the court that Letters of administration
issue to Sarah Pettie wife & relict of Chris. Pettie Deceased of all and
singular Goods & Chattels rights & Credits of the said Deceased who took
oath of an adminis'tx.  Proposes for Security James Martin & Leonard Sailor
are bound in sum of 400 pounds. accepted.

October term 1772

Goods and Chattles of Joseph Sailor, Dec'd.  She took oath and proposed for Security
Leonard Sailor.
