1780 Mar 31 - North Carolina Grant #185.  Know ye that for in
consideration of the sum of 50 schillings for every hundred  acres hereby paid into our treasury [State of North Carolina] by James Sellars ...do give and grant to  said James Sellars a tract of land containing 60 acres in County of Chatham in North Carolina.  Provided that said James Sellars shall have this grant to be registered in the Registrar's Office of Chatham County  within 12 months.  Witness, Richard Caswell Esquire, our governor, captain, general and commander-in-chief  at Kingston. 1784 Jul 28 - Indenture made James Sellars Senior by virtue of power of
attorney from  William Black to said Sellars of the County of Chatham and State of
North Carolina of the one part and Nancy Hogan of same ... for and in  consideration of 40
 pounds paid the said James Sellars doth sell unto said Nancy Hogan that tract of
said land lying in Chatham County  on the waters of Great Bush Creek, the waters of New
Hope consisting of   250 acres.  Boundry neighbors: Richard Parker, Hogan, Clement,

1787 Apr -- - Indenture made between James Sellars Senior and James
Sellars Junior of Chatham County, NC of the one part and Joseph Taylor of the County of
Granville, NC, of the other part, for and in consideration of the sum   of 50 pounds paid
by Taylor doth deliver a certain tract of land containing 249 acres in the County of
Chatham on the waters of Newhope. Boundry neighbors: John Pitts, Akman. Signed by both

acres being part of that tract of land of the Cool Spring entered by James Sellars
Senior.

sside of Haw River, containing 350 acres.  Boundry neighbors: James Sellars , John

County on   the Northeast side of Haw River containing 20 acres.  Boundry neighbors:

piece of land lying in Chatham County containing 125 acres on the Meadow Branch.

said Isham Bilbery, doth grant that tract of land lying in Chatham County on the
north side of Haw River containing 50 acres.  Adjoins property where Isham Bilbery now
lives, runs along  7 Island Road running north to Hillsborough Road.  Signed James

NC, on the one part, and Isaac Sellars, of same  county, on the other part, witnesseth
that said David Sellars for and in consideration of the sum of  100 pounds paid by said
Isaac Sellars doth grant that tract of land in Chatham County on the north side of
Haw River consisting of 350 acres.  Joins land of James Sellars at the head of
Meadow Branch running north  to John Sellars old corner, to south side of Lick Branch.

NC, on the one part, and William Poe of same county,  on the other part, witnesseth
that said Laird Sellars for and in consideration of the sum of 22 pounds   doth sell a
certain tract of land in Chatham County containing 22 acres on Pokeberry Creek waters of
Haw River.

Boundry is Redfield Road on Joseph Hackney Senior's line running south,
then east, then north  crossing Pokeberry Creek.  Signed Laird Sellars.  Witness:  Jacob

Siler City in Chatham Co., NC [IGI]

1799 May 15 - Indenture made between Edward Tatum of South Carolina, on
the one part, and Laird Sellars, of  Chatham County, NC, on the other part, witnesseth
that said Edward Tatum for and in consideration of the  sum of 225 pounds to him
in hand paid by said Laird Sellars doth grant a tract of land where the said dward Tatum
family lived in Chatham County containing 325 acres on the east side of Haw River on
the waters of Pokeberry Creek.  Boundry neighbors:  Gunter, Lassiter, Sellars, Joseph

Sellars for and in consideration of the sum of 600 dollars paid by the  said John Farrar
doth grant a certain tract of land with mill and improvements in Chatham County on
