Bonds Book L, page 600 Union Co., Ky. The commonwealth of Kentucky. Be it known,
That we, Wm . T. Brown and principal, and E. J. Armstong as survey, are jointly
and severally bound to the commonwealth of Kentucky, in the sun of One Hundred
dollars. The condition of this bond is as follows: Wm. T. Brown and Martha A.
Armstrong. Now if there is no lawful cause to obstruct said Marriage, this Bond
shall be void, otherwise it shall remain in full force and effect. Dated at
Morganfield, Union County, This 28th day of February, 1893. Wm T. Brown made

Saw your notes on the Sellers list as you mentioned DEHAVEN.
Attached is what I have on Thomas W Dehaven and his family.
The 1930 census may have some data to help sort out.
I show Lorene Grady/Grady Lorene Brown as his wife and she is born abt 1914. SAME year as Aradis 15 on the 1920 census. [born 1914]
Are these the same person? twins?
I show no other Thomas Dehavens in Evansville and collect them all...
Can one of you help... ??

Isham Sellars 1806 dau Lavina is proven, I believe.
Isham Sellers 1754 died 1837 and had remarried Lydia before 1827 , but, his
will written 1827? And only listed earlier kids?
This needs reread.
As Lydia does have female living with her in 1840 = 5/10 and others!

I have read the Sellers site comments. You seem to be having a difficult time
find the parents of Lavinia. I'm going to tell you the "hear say".
This has been passed down for years. Maybe it's true and maybe not. Rumor is,
Lavinia Sellers was Native American. Chickasaw to be exact. There again, I don't
know if it's true. Martha informed all her children that she was half Chickasaw.
Just thought I would let you know.

his marriage? altho we list her as a Harrington? How proven??
there are Luke Sellers' listed in KY Civil War, But, I can't find a pension
on him.

fact I have found more. This information came from my father and obituary records.
I cannot prove any of this. I do know, from my childhood and my father that
these people were cousins. They spent quite a lot of time visiting my grandparents.
Dad confirms they are first cousins to his father.. He just doesn't know how
they are related. He said he can't remember their parents. My Dad at 81 has
a very good memory. They have to be grandchildren of Lavinia W. Sellers. Don't
they?

I'm sending it to you because I have seen this before and I can't remember where.
I don't know what to make of it. Do you think this is my E. J. Armstrong?
I do know Loren Grady Brown AKA Aunt Bob Martha Armstrong Brown's grand daughter.informed
me that E. J. Armstrong had a brother they called L. Armstrong.
How do you go about getting the Armstrong information into the Rootsweb Archives
under the Armstrong name? I think it would be beneficial to finding more Armstrongs
too, if this was under that sir name as well.
I haven't talked to my Dad yet today. He must be out and about. He isn't answering

I would wait a few days/week. then I would post on the Armstrong board or Union
Co, Ky board with PROVEN info only.
and see if any results.
The 1850 Union Co, KY census is Very unclear and I am sure others need info
also . This would be a good starting point for info.
Otherwise , go to the kids we know are Lavina's and ask for info on that surname.

I have been looking into more info that is not on my PC. (In the Boxes)
I have found an Armstrong family that my brother states are kin. He went to
high school with them. The Armstrong boys were at my Mom and Dad's as much as
they were at home. The Armstrong boys parents said we were kin.
I followed the line back as far as I can.
Here is the last one.
The old folks are buried in Olive Branch Cemetery, Hanson, KY. It says Hopkins
county. I thought Hanson was in Webster county. I'm not sure.
Do you know where I can see on line the index of that cemetery.
This is the site for the obit for the Armstrong.

Noah c. Armstrong, DOD 10-13-1955....There are two. At the bottom of the one
it states his father is James and his mother is M??? or N????.
Maybe the cemetery records will help lead me to Martha Ann Armstrong's brothers

NANCY, I don't have anymore PROOF than before. Could use a death certificate or obit or marriage certificate on her. to help prove her parents. Lavina Sellers appears to be the daughter of LUKE SELLERS. She is living with him in 1850 census and probably the daughter born 1835/40 on the 1840 census with him.
