I'm looking for information on the Sellers family. My grandmother was
Corabelle Sellers, b. 1886 in Kansas. She married
Arthur Gard and they lived in the
Chelan area. Her brother was William Sellers,
b. 1880 and d. 1977 in
Yakima.
There were three other sisters: Stella Sellers Crow, Hattie Sellers Carrey,
and Minnie Sellers Byrd. Any help of any of these folks would be greatly
appreciated.
MYRTLE - do you know which town/county in KS?
WHEN did they go to WA?
Sending it thro our SELLERS discussion group and see if any of our KANSAS
SELLERS
can help.

Hi Marie,
Thanks for replying to my query re Sellers. I don't have a
town/county in
KS. My grandmother was born in 1876 in Kansas and married in
Washington
state. I don't have the marriage record, but my grandfather was in
Washington, and my dad was born in 1908 in Washington state. Not much
to
give you, but that is all I have. If we can get anything at all, it
would
be a help. Thanks again.
Myrtle

Subject: [WADOUGLA-L] Sellers/Crow Families
I am looking for descendants of the Sellers and Crows families that lived
in and around the Watervillie and Chelan areas. Specifically,
Corabelle
Sellers, b. Abt. 1876, sisters: Minnie Sellers Byrd, Stella Sellers Crow,
and Hattie Sellers Carrey. Stella Sellers was married to Henry Crow.
Corabelle was married to Arthur G. Gard. Any information would be
helpful.
Thanks,

Thanks for responding. I believe you answered
another query I submitted in
KS. I have NOT been able to get anything on these Sellers. The
only thing
I have is the following on my grandmother, Cora (or Corabelle) Sellers:
This was part of Obit in the Enumclaw (WA) Courier Herald.
Cora (Sellers/Gard) Hall passed away June 4 (presume
year to be 1959,
as
year was not shown in cut-out article). Born July 18, 1886 in
Kansas, she
was 73 years of age when she died on June 4. She was buried in
Enumclaw,
WA. Three sisters were: Minnie (Sellers) Byrd of Everett, WA, Hattie
(Sellers) Carrey of Hemet, CA, Stella (Sellers) Crow (deceased, but had
lived in Waterville, WA). Stella was married to Henry Crow. One
brother
was William Sellers of Yakima, WA.
I could not find a WA 1900 Census, but I know Cora Sellers was in WA
before
1908, as my dad (Rodney A. Gard) was born in Chelan, WA on September 19,
1908. Cora was married to Arthur G. Gard probably a year or two before
that.
That is all I have, and I haven't been able to find anything on these
people
at all except on the SSDI:
- William Sellers b. May 1880 and d. April 1977 in
Yakima, WA.
- Hilda (Hattie) Carrey b. 3 January 1891, d.
February 1984 in Pomona,
CA
- Minnie Byrd, b June 9, 1875, d. April 1975 in
Everett, WA.
I'm assuming the above were also born in Kansas, but don't have any proof.
I'm really anxious to find something on my grandmother. Any help
would be
appreciated.
Thanks,
Myrtle
ANY help would be appreciated.

Hi Marie,I am still trying to absorb all the info you sent me from the Washington State 1900 Census on the Sellers family I have been searching for. I have a couple questions on this info. Specifically, on Cora Sellers. (This was my grandmother). Your information said: "WHITMAN CO= CORA Sollers 13IN, b. July 18, 1886, living with CHARLES MOORE.Now I'm sure it's Whitman County (which I didn't know they every lived). Her age was 13 at the time of the census. The IN following the age? Does that mean where she was born? The same for all the others, does the abbreviated state following the age mean place of birth? Do you have access to all the census's? Or, are they available anywhere on the internet? I gave you all the information I had, except I am in the process of obtaining an obituary of a brother(?) of Cora's. Hopefully, I'll get it within the week. That will be on William Sellers, b. 1880 and died April 29, 1977 in Yakima, WA. If you can answer the above questions, it would be helpful. Also, are you related to any of these Sellers in Washington state? Plus, maybe you can tell me where to go to find the census for 1910, etc., if you don't have access to any more. Thanks for your help, and I'll keep you posted if I come up with anymore.Myrtle
Looking for a link to Charles Sellers and Nancy Foster,
who I just located
in the 1870 Orange County, IN census.
They moved from Indiana to Kansas
and had the following children: William (Albert or Bert) Sellers,
Corabelle Sellers, Minnie Sellers, Hattie Sellers, Stella Sellers, and
perhaps more. If anyone can help me with any dates or names on this
family, I would appreciate hearing.
Thanks,
Myrtle
CHARLES SELLERS/NANCY F. FOSTER/4-13-1870/VERM CO,IL
MYRTLE - This appears to be Ambrose SELLERS , son of Robert and Sarah Hall
SELLERS
from NC to Wash and Clark Co's IN. Will send this thru our SELLERS
discussion group and see if any of them recognize any of these kids.
WHERE/When did we go in KS?
OUR CLARK CO, IN info = CLICK on this =
http://www.netins.net/showcase/sellerfamily/inclark.htm
And I believe you can follow the hi-lighted links and go back and forth and
kinda follow them. Don't know if I saw in 1840?
SEND us Whatever you can on the child you connect to , married when/where
and went to?
Thanks, marie, iowa
Charles Sellers and Nancy Foster were on the 1870 Orange County, IN Census
with no children listed. Sometime before 1880 they went to Kansas as
most
of the children were born there. My grandmother, Cora Belle Sellers,
b.
July 18, 1886, showed on the 1900 WA state Census that she was born in IN;
but her obit said she was born in KS. I don't know; if I could find
out, I
could get the birth certificate. Also, the brother of Cora, William
Bert
Sellers, on his copy of WWI Civilian Draft Registration shows he was born
May 22, 1879 but his application for SS shows him born 22 May 1880 in
Osborn, Kansas. The other children and dates are:
Hilda (Hattie) Sellers, b. 3
January 1891
Minnie Sellers, b. October 31,
1880 (per SSDI)
Stella Sellers, b. Abt. 1891
Francis Sellers, b. Abt. 1893
Goldie Sellers, b. Abt. 1897
Harrison Sellers, b. Abt. 1888
ANY information of these children, but especially the parents, would
really
be appreciated.
Thanks for your help.

MYRTLE - Thanks for Staying in here and getting more info = Only way we are
going to prove these SELLERS.
I don't have the ages of the Charles and Nancy Foster listed on the 1870
Orange Co,IN census index. I requested a look up today and will advise.
Thought this could be Ambrose Sellers wife Nancy and son Charles listed next
door on the 1860 Clark Co,IN
But, Kinda think Ambrose and Nancy son born ca 1857 - too young to be same
as IL marriage?
Charles SELLERS and Nancy FOSTER were married 1870 VERM CO, IL
CAN'T FIND on 1880 soundex census = IA, MO, AR, KS, IL, IN
Where did your info on WM SELLERS parents come from?
OR where did your info on CHARLES and NANCY being PARENTS come from?

KEEP on Searching and Sharing, marie, iowa
I do have a couple proofs of Charles Sellers and Nancy Foster being parents
of Cora Belle Sellers and William Sellers. I have William Sellers
"Application for Social Security Account Number" where is lists
parents. I
have Cora Belle Sellers and Arthur G. Gard's "Marriage Return"
where it
lists her parents as Charles and Nancy Foster. That paper was from
Chelan
County, WA dated 1906. The sisters of Cora Belle I met when I was a
kid,
so
know they were sisters, but I don't have any documentation on them.

I believe the Other CHARLES SELLERS here in Orange Co,IN was married in

VERM CO, IL lays on the VERM CO, IN border and I believe cousin Robert

JOHN - Yes, on a Search and NOT member, MANY letters come thru this way as a
COPY
of same sent to you.
(SEARCH engines SEND info this way)
BUT, if you are member and receive copy of Original letter , you wouldn't
receive the COPY and
brackets.
BEST, I can explain.
SUBJECT = should use the Surname of that group = ours SELLERS
next = /NAME/AGE/COUNTY/STATE
Gives you the Best possible coverage and our SELLERS can find/know you..
EXAMPLE =
SELLERS/MONOS /1785VA/1820PICKAWAY CO, OH/1850 TIPTON CO, IN /1860 DEC
CO, IA
THIS means I have a =
MONOS SELLERS born ca 1785 VA that was in PICKAWAY CO, OH ca 1820 and in 1850
TIPTON CO, IN and
in 1860 DECATUR CO, IA
OR a subject LINE of = SELLERS/MONOS1785/TIPTON CO, IN/DEC CO, IA
will give you a Lot of Info to OTHERS to find you.
AND that is what we are trying to do = FIND SELLERS to Each Other.
WHEN you Find a Cousin = IT won't make Any diff if you have Brackets or
Spellings or etc.
GET that info to your County/State, esp on SELLERS list.
