From: Fordyce B. Logan jr. <flogan@door.net>

Hi Sandy,

I saw your post and thought I would contact you. I was raised in Merwin
Missouri on a farm west of town. There were hard times then in the 20's
and 30's. There were other LOGANS living around Clinton, Missouri also,
which i did not know about. We used to go ovet to Butler to the movie.
Anyhow, I wondered if there was anything in the book about any of the
LOGAN'S. Dad was timekeeper for the WPA and I do not know much about the
LOGANS around Clinton but they must have better off than we were as they
got their land early in the 1800's.

There were SELLERS in my Mother's family line. She was a MALONE and most
of her line of MALONES,SELLERS, HARSTONS were from around Joplin, Mo.

take care,
Fordyce Logan, Jr. <flogan@door.net>

Marie, I received permission to send his SELLERS info to you...please
direct any queries to Fordyce.   Sandy

HI MARIE,

I DO NOT HAVE NUCH ON THE SELLERS ONLY WHAT I WILL PASTE. I BELIEVE THAT
CLAUD SELLERS=MARY G. HARSTON (MAMIE) COULD HAVE BEEN A BROTHER OF THE GEORGE
LISTED AS HE WAS IN THE JOPLIN AREA BEFORE 1900. AS YOU CAN SEE MY MOTHER
DID NOT KEEP MUCH INFORMATION ON HER FAMILY. WHAT I HAVE IS FROM PICTURES
AND A LETTER OR TWO AND FROM MY 77 YEAR OLD MEMORY OF MY MOTHER'S
GRANDPARENTS. I HAVE LOCATED ONLY ONE LIVING DESCENDENT OF HER LINE.
MAYBE SOMEONE WILL PICK UP ON THIS. THANKS FOR YOUR INFORMATION.

I thought that I might let you know that I made contact with this Fordyce B. Logan about a year ago. He was interested in this
Claude Sellers who had married Mary G. Harston ( Mamie ) he thought that there might be some relation between this Claude Sellers and
this George Sellers. ( see below) I let him ( Fordyce ) know that there wasn't any family relation to be found there. This Claude Sellers was
the son of Thomas J. Sellers and wife Mary E. ( Kee ) Sellers. You will find this family listed below in the 1880 Census of Cole Co. Mo. this
Census was taken 5 years before Claud's birth. In the 1900 Census of Clinton Twp. Henry Co. MO. we find this family with Claude now age
15. You will find this family again in Joplin Mo. 1910 Census.( see Below) This Claude is now age 25, with a wife Mary age 21. And also
living with this family is his mother Mary ( Kee ) Sellers age 55 for Thomas J.  her husband had died in 1907.  Next this family is listed in
the 1920 Census of Pratt Co. KS. It list Claude Sellers age 34 MO.  Living in another house hold we have his (Claud's) mother Mary E. ( Kee
) Sellers age 65 living with her (Mary E.) mother Sarah (Sellers) Kee age 87.  I have no knowledge of who this Henry A. Sellers age 22 living
in this same Twp. happen to be. I have found no more information on this Claude Sellers after this 1920 Census. This Fordyce B. Logan wrote
me, saying that as a young man he remembers His Uncle Claude and Aunt Mary (Mamie ) living in the state of Arkansas. Claud's parents
Thomas J. and Mary E. as well as his brother Ralph Raymond and sister Minnie  are all buried in Englewood Cemetery Clinton Twp. Henry
Co. Mo. (again see below). I have tried through the years to find out what County in Ca. that Ralph and his sister Minnie were born in, births
1872 and 1874 but with no luck.  Ralph Raymond Sellers died in the year 1955. It seems that he was out of his parents house hold before the
1900 MO. Census. Now just where he and his wife Cora lived those last 40 some years are hard to say, for I haven't been able to find any
information on them.  Now Marie, before you get after me on just what Sellers line these Sellers come from. LOL. This Thomas J. Sellers
born 1847 in Green County Pa. was the son of Asa Sellers # 1 born abt. 1805 In Green County Pa. He (Asa ) being the son of George and
Mary (Sherman) Sellers of Center Twp. Green Co. Pa. You will find this family of Asa Sellers # 1. listed in the 1850 Census of Linton Twp.
Coshocton Co. OH.  young Thomas was listed as age three, you will also find listed in this family of Asa Sellers in said census, a daughter
Sarah age 18.  Daughter Sarah married an Andrew Kee in said County in the year of 1853, and soon after moved to McDonough County ILL.
In the year of 1854 in McDonough County, Andrew and Sarah had their first child a daughter Mary E. Kee. To keep this short. By the year of
1863/64 the rest of my Sellers clan (Mother Eleanor Sellers with son Asa, daughter Mary and son Thomas J.) had moved from Coshocton
County, OH. to McDonough County ILL. This Kee family moved to the bordering County of Hancock ILL. in the mid 1860s. All my Sellers
Clan by the 1870 Census had moved to Peoria County ILL. All except Thomas J. Sellers age 23, who I found in the 1870 Census living in the
same small town of Plymouth, Hancock County, Living with I believe his brother in law Andrew Kee and Sarah his sister and their children.
We next find a Thomas J. Sellers born 1847 Pa. who in the year of 1870/71 had married a Mary E. born in ILL. year 1854. Where this
marriage took place I am not sure, but their first child was born in Ca. year 1872. Yes, Marie, I believe that this Thomas J. married his niece
Mary E. Kee.  FDH. Dennis.
