After the death of his parents Richard Faith purchased the interest of the other heirs. He was married November 4, 1897, to Elizabeth Sellars, who was born February 5, 1866, in Benton County, Missouri. Her parents, Calvin and Malissa (Parker) Sellars, were born in Tennessee and came to Henry County in 1858, remaining only a short time, when they went to Benton County. After the Civil War they returned to Henry County, locating in Deer Creek township and passing their remaining days there. Four children: Willie R., a daughter living at home, Clyde of Colorado, Edith and Marjory at home, have been born to Mr. and Mrs. Faith. Mr. Faith and family are members of the Meth

CAME UP WITH A CLIPPING ON ROBERT FRANCIS HARSTON'S DEATH. AT THE END OF THE DEATH NOTICE IT HAS THE
FOLLOWING---HE ALSO LEAVES TWO SISTERS, MRS EVELYN SAYERS OF KIRKSVILLE AND MRS. MAMIE SELLER, BENTONVILLE,
ARK. 12 GRANDCHILDREN AND SEVEN GREAT GRAND CHILDREN.

SO SOMETIME AFTER I SAW MAMIE IN OK. IN 1940 THE WENT TO BENTONVILLE, ARKANSAS AND THEY WERE THERE IN SEPT 12
1968. THIS IS WHERE THE HARSTONS CAME FROM BEFORE COMMING TO JOPLIN,MO. I GUESS THAT MAMIE AND CLAUDE
WANTED TO GO BACK TO ARKANSAS. CLAUDE DIED THERE IN 1971 AND MAMIE DIED THERE IN 1984. THEY HAD TWO CHILDREN
THAT I KNOW OF, TOM AND MARY EVELYN.

MAYBE THIS WILL HELP YOU LOCATE THEIR CHILDREN'S CHILDREN . TOM AND MARY EVELYN THE CHILDREN OF CLAUDE HAVE
PROBABLY PASSED ON. MAYBE THE PAPER THERE HAS THE DEATH NOTICES OF CLAUDE AND EVELYN. OR MARRIAGE NOTICES

The Advocate

      During the time of the civil war, no paper was published in Clinton or in Henry County, until January 22, 1866. The Advocate was then started by G. Sellers, and the same year Mr. Will H. Lawrence brought an interest and the firm was Sellers & Lawrence. Mr. Will H. Lawrence purchased the paper in 1867 and continued its editor and proprietor for eight years and over, leasing the office to Mr. I. N. Jones, March 1, 1873, for one year. The Advocate was Republican in politics, and was one of the most influential weeklies of the party in the state, and still continues to hold a leading position in its party and in this section of country. Mr. I. N. Jones took charge as above stated, with W. N. Pickerill as his editor. A Mr. Palmer was associated with him a short time. At the end of the year, Mr. Will H. Lawrence having returned, he again took possession from March 5, 1874. Mr. Lawrence continued its publication until December 9, 1875, although from September 30, 1875, to above date, it was again in Mr. Jones' hands, as Lawrence was on a visit to New Mexico. On December 9, 1875, as above dated, Mr. Lawrence finally closed his connection with the Advocate forever and sold the same to I. N. Jones and Samuel B. Orem.
