Was just getting ready to reply to your earlier request for info on Nash
Sellers and received the e-mail as of this evening. I hope you and I may be
able to help each other. I descend from the Nash Sellers. Years ago I
hired a genealogist to research this Sellers line. William Sellers who was
married to *Mary Sherrod was my gggrandfather. His father is Joseph
married to Elizabeth Longbottoms. The genealogist more or less concluded
Joseph's father may well be the William Sellers in the late 1700's living
Nash. The Sellers families seemed to be land poor and hard to trace, I have
finally come to believe that the name had been corrupted to Selah(s) and
is why we could not locate info on them. The following is a brief
about Gurley Sellers.
1. Gurley had brothers Emanuel, Bennett and Jordan
2. Due to name corruption, brothers were sons of Arntil Sellers from
and should be sons fo Arthur Sellers, Jr.
3. Children attributed to Arthur Jr.
    i. Mary - m. John Murrow in Guilfor Co 1820
ii. Martha and perhaps other daus.
iii. Son, maybe Bennett born 1790/1800 and left Nash in 1830's
iv Manuel (Emanuel) born 18001805 and m. in Franklin, Co 1825 to Fanny
    v. Gurley m. 1826 to Delilah Wyatt with Jordan Sellers as a bondsman
    vi. Jordan b. 1809

A deed of 7 Sept 1771 from Frederick Gurley of Edgecombe to Nathan Gurley
Johnston for 125 acres & witnessed by Benjamin Sellers, Joseph Sellers and
Arthur Sellers. This Joseph seems to be an older Joseph than mine adding to
the complexity of this line.
Ther are some interesting similarities between the Nash fly. and
of Benjamin Sellers.  Benjamin Jr. m. twice and had by his first wife a
Jordan  and by his second wife a son, Wright who lived in Horry,SC. In the
book "Some Descendants of William Sellers",  it is actually Benjamin's sons
who moved to Brunswick Co. and these are the brothers incorrectly
as sons of William Sellers of Tarboro. I don't believe there is a Willliam
Tarboro. This genealogist had done research on this line as well
Will look forward to hearing from you and hope you can add to this
Margaret Sellers Kessels

I mistakenly put *Feriby Sherrod as William Sellers' wife.. It should be
Mary (ok, corrected, msh)
Sherrod, Feriby is her mother.
