I'm looking for info on Isaac Sellers, b. 23 Jun1849, d. 10Feb1919.
Married
Catherine Ann Crawford.  They lived in Lawrencetown, Halifax Co NS.  They
had Nathan E, Walter J, Arthur W, Florence J, Clifford L.  I'd like to know
Isaac's parents, siblings, & what became of Walter, Florence & Arthur.

I do a lot of searching, but, I really don't know much about Canada or
what is
available -
Was Isaac born 1849 in Nova Scotia?
Do they have 1850 census ?(that shows how 'dumb' I am on this subject)
He would be listed with his parents where ever he was born - We have
several
1850 US census-
Did they have death certificates in 1919? - do you have?
Did they have a Civil War or any major war ?
Please tell us what you can - will post what info you can tell us about
Canada/Nova Scotia - so I don't have to ask these questions again.

Hello everyone
Most of the info I have of my line is from my father, Walter Clifford, who
is a son of Clifford Lemuel Sellers.  I found info on Nathan Edward
Sellers,
his marriage record and info from the 1901 census of Cumberland Co NS.
Cumberland Co has census and BMDs online.  Here are more details.

I know that Nathan was in Amherst Head Cumberland Co NS in 1901.  On the
1901 census, he's listed as working for Robert Taylor.  From the marriage
records, I found his birthdate & place.  From family records I also know
the

A lot of Maritimers emigrated to the States in the 1830s onwards, looking
for greener pastures.  Of course there was a reverse migration when the
Loyalists migrated to Canada, including the Maritimes, in 1812.  So I
wonder
what happened to Walter,  and his sister Florence.

I do all my research online, and because I no longer live in NS,  the
records & archives are not available to me.  Although I could obtain them
through interlibrary loans, that would mean I would have to research in
the
library and only during library hours and I would have to pay money, which
would soon add up since I 'm researching both paternal & maternal  lines
for
my family as well as my husband's.

I use Cyndi's List at www.cyndislist.com/novascot.htm   It's a wonderful
site with links to all the counties in NS, as well as links to other
Canadian provinces.  There are links to everything a researcher would
need,
history, surname lists, vital records, census, passenger lists, societies,
&
mailing lists.

What I need to know from Halifax Co is not online so I thought by using
this
list someone familiar with my line might read it and get in touch with me
