Hi Louis,
I have your Felix Perry Sellers in my database. Please contact me so we
can
exchange information. I'm compiling Sellers information for a
future book
on
the all the descendants of Nathaniel and
Samuel Sellers. My death date
differs from yours, but I can't verify
mine, I think its from the LDS
website. According to yours he would
be over 100 years old. This is how he
fits in:
1. Nathaniel Sellers (d. abt 1795)
2. William Sellers
(1771-1848) m. Sarah Crawford (1778-1855)
3. Nathan Douglas Sellers
(1797-1879) m. Susanna Hawk (1802-1879)
4. Felix Perry Sellers
(1824-1905) m. Mary Magdalean Tillman (1833-1925)
5. Isadora Lutitia
Sellers (1857-1924) m. Leander Pottenger (only child I
have)
This family probably started in Northern Ireland to Cumberland County,
PA
before 1748 then to Kentucky in 1780 to Preble County, OH about
1807 then
to
Indiana. I have Felix being born in Preble
Co., Oh and dying in Manchester,
Koscuisko Co., IN. Looking forward
to exchanging information with you.

Louis,
Is your Felix Perry Sellers the Felix P. Sellers tabulated in Monroe
Twp, Kosciusko
County in the 1860 IN census? If so, is he related to his
neighbor in the same census, Joseph W. Sellers? Both Felix P and
Joseph
W appear to have followed the same migration pattern from OH
to IN.
Joseph W, born somewhere in OH about 1830, was my
gggrandfather. He was
killed in the Civil War in 1862. I have not
been successful in proving
the parents of Joseph W, but
circumstantial evidence points to the John
and Nancy Sellers
tabulated in Clay Twp, Miami
County in the 1850 IN
census:
John Sellers (60, KY)
Nancy (49, KY)
Joseph (21, OH)
Nathan (16, OH)
Mary (14, OH)
Joseph W Sellers married Elizabeth York in Kosciusko County on 23 Dec
1852. A Mary E Sellers (age 16) married Elizabeth's brother Asa P.
York
in Kosciusko County on 20 Jan 1853. A Nathan G Sellers married
Susan M
Norris in Kosciusko County on 2 Jul 1854. This appears to be
the three
siblings of the John Sellers family, although I have not
been able to
find any trace of John or Nancy after the 1850 census.
This is further
confirmed by the records of Spring Creek Cemetery in
Kosciusko County:
Mary Elizabeth York, wife of A. B., died June 16,
1864, 27-7-2 (implying
a birth date about Nov 14, 1836). One of the
adjacent stones was for
Susan Sellers, wife of N. (G.), died Mar 16,
186(2). The stones were
compiled by Lester Binnie in 1971, who
reported that they were very hard
to read.
Do you have any data connecting either Joseph W Sellers or John &
Nancy
Sellers into your line going back from IN to OH to KY?

I have compiled quite a bit
of information on Nathan Sellers of Preble County, OH. His daughter, Jane,
married Henry Duggins, stepson of my ancestor, James
Crawford.
I also have a little
information on James Sellers who married Mary Crawford and William Sellers who
married Sarah Crawford.
Most of what I have is on
Ancestry. It is also on my home page.

Appreciate your work on your
web page, the Nathaniel Sellers link is dead as
well as the James and Sally
Crawford link. I am of the Nathaniel Sellers
line by the 6th generation.
I have a lot of info, and had it as on a ged
file, but had a sudden crash
of my pc and lost a lot of info... had a
professional retrieve some
of the data, but it is very incomplete. I will
forward your posting to
another Seller's cousin who has a lot of later
generations on file. I have
pictures of Nathaniel Sellers grandson and great
grandson. I believe my
cousin has a tin type or copy of William David
Sellers. Hopefully she will
be able to fill in any blanks you may want
filled.
Regards,
Louis
LOUIS, thanks for
keeping in touch and sharing info.
Our SELLERS would
appreciate a copy of these pictures of WILLIAM DAVID
SELLERS. age =

Can you or cousin
forward?
THANK YOU for sharing
SELLERS.
marie,

I was greatly mistaken
about the thought that one of my cousins has
a tin type or copy of
William David Sellers, there is a very small copy of a
picture of Nathan D
Sellers that is in possession of one of my cousins and
in one of my supposedly
recoverable files on a cd. I need a special program
to open them up and
convert it to something usable. By the way... We are
having a Sellers
Reunion one week from today at the Heritage Park Community
Building in Etna Green,
IN. next Sunday (Aug 31) afternoon beginning
at 1:00 pm with a carry
in meal. We are an ever declining group, but still
meeting consistently
for well over 90 yrs. This reunion particularly
represents the Felix
Perry/Mary M Tillman-Sellers line through his son
Nathan Hazard Sellers.
Perry is the grandson of William David Sellers. All
Sellers are
welcome!
