Just saw your message on Sellers. My gggrandfather was John Sellers--
b. 1790 in Pa. Bought land in Muskingum
Co. in 1817--also married Martha Rodman in 1817.
Can't find his parents. Can you help?
WE NEED When/Where this will was recorded/probated.
Maybe contact him direct and try and get reply? (ck Franklin
Co., Pa wills)
We are Very Interested in who your/this JOHN SELLERS was from and went to.
WE have the SELLERS discussion group and web page, where we try and link the counties/states together.
WE don't have the land records posted on our MUSK CO, OH page and
you show him with land in 1817.
CAN you send copy or description? =
Can you send Where he went to = Perry
Co,? etc =
We had some RODMANS connected to the SELLERS here, I believe in MUSK
CO,OH?
but, MAYBE NOT connected BEFORE.
WENT to INDIANA?
DON'T know if Same family?
LET us know where he went to.
WE have =MUSK CO, OH =

My John Sellers bought the northeast
Quarter of section Seventeen of township Sixteen in range
Fifteen. Bought and paid in full on 18 March,1817. This land
remained in the family until about 20
years ago when it was sold to the state of Ohio.
He married Martha Rodman on 6 March, 1817
He died in Rushville, Ohio, while living with their daughter
& son-inlaw William H. Beacham, died 7
June, 1873.
I can't find his birth place or parents. Cencus says he was
born in Pa.

Thanks for your information, but I don't think this can be my John
because
he was born in 1790 and bought land in Ohio in 1817. Looks like
Martha Rodman
came from Mifflin Co, PA The census says he was born in PA.
I have found a
John Sellers born to Abraham Sellers , but that John was buried
in PA. There
is another Abraham in Bucks Co. (married to an Anna ) but I haven't
been
able to find any record of his son.
I hope your gardens are doing well by now! I lost my husband 10
years ago
and moved to a garden home 4 years ago. So I don't do anything outside
now.
The body has gone to pot! But I am busy doing fun things like playing
bridge
and oil painting. And working on my genealogy, too. Lois Gordon,

Marie, Thanks for taking the time to send that information!
Funny that you should mention that my John didn't show up on you
land records. When I went to Zanesville last year I went to the Court
House and they had no record of his purchase! They said maybe he
didn't own land. I have the parchment. He bought the northeast
quarter of section Seventeen of township Sixteen in range Fifteen.
John and Martha Rodman Sellers had a daughter ,Mary, who married
William Henry Beacham.
Interestingly, There is another John Sellers buried in the Unity Cem. He was married to a Margret. I think his brother Isaac Sellers is also buried in Unity. I think they came from Mifflin C. ,PA Lois
