Yes there was a town in St. Charles Parish called Sellers,
but it is no longer. Around 1916 the New Orleans Refining
Company came into this area and the town took a new name
from its iniials. Pat

Message Board Post:
Robert Sellers was a federal game warden killed by a poacher in the 1920's. He was a brother to my grandfather, Thomas B. Sellers, Sr., who died in the earky 1960's. The youngest sibling was Aunt "Raddy" who married John Walton. She died in the 70's or 80's. T
While Allen was lost at sea during WW II, his brother Julius went on to be the Clerk of Court and Assessor of St. Charles Parish. Aunt Lucy lived in Ama until she died. Her grand-daughter Pyramide (Perry)Sellers sang soprano with the New York Metropolitan Opera. She still resides in New York. Jo Ellen (Teko) lives on the west coast close to her children. Julius B. Jr. Lives in St. Charles Parish and served one term each of assessor and sherrif. I also live in St. Charles.
Aunt Lucy, Thomas Joseph Sellers, Auntie Wiser are all buried in Destrehan, LA at the St. Charles (Little Red Church) cemetary.
My Grandfather is bruied in Boutte, LA in the Youngs family cemetary.
