I don't know in 1820,but Capt Spencer Records went from n Ky abt 1800 to
near,now,Latham,Pike Co,Oh,and in a few years,sw of Winchester,on the
ADAMS-BROWN CO OH line
Laben Records came with his BRO-IN-LAW ALEXANDER BUCHANAN JR,to s
Clermont Co,Oh 1795-1805 AND ?LATER. Their father-in-law,Isaac
Sellers, was killed on Locust, now Bracken, but left property on SAW MILL
Run,Allegany Co,Pa. Saw Mill Run was near FT PITT,but across the
river[s],and was so named for mill where lumber for the fort was cut. I
suppose Laben Recors went to Falmouth-15 miles-after s Clermont.

Marie,

I'm not too sure who these Pendleton County Sellers are. I do know the
locations of the land that John Sellers (d.1812 in Woodford) owned. The
first land which was 1,400 acres is located in Harrison County, KY just south of
Cynthiana. There is a creek named Sellers Run nearby. There is a map
showing the location at:

http://www.shawhan.com/map.htm

As further followup to the paragraph from THE HISTORY OF BRACKEN COUNTY,
KY.published in 1996 by the Bracken County Extension Homemakers.

The paragraph came from a section of this book, title COMMUNITIES GONE,
BUT NOT FORGOTTEN, this section written by Ann Browning Edwards Bettison
(Mrs. Morse Bettison).

More from that same section:
Browningsville was along Little Willow Creek which came from Bracken
County into Pendleton County.  There were homes along the creek as early as
1818, but the village itself began in the 1840's with the general store of
Henry Browning.

Brother Robert Elrod, a "hard shell" Baptist minister, who served the
Willow Creek Baptist Church for many years served the Falmouth Baptist Church as
well. (Falmouth is in Pendleton county, church records might bring forth
something. maa)

By 1860, Browningsville was a busy neighborhood.  (1850 census might be
the ticket, for that area. maa)

The Willow Creek Baptist Church was established in 1818.  Willow Creek
Baptist Church is now the Willow Baptist Church, Bracken County, Ky.
(This is my understanding from an article in the History book about the
church.maa) A new brick church was completed and dedicated in 1967.  (Records of the
church might be helpful to someone.  The King families of Bracken County
are/were active in the church.(My grandmother Amanda King was baptized there, she
was born in 1872.)

That's the best info I have to offer.

I have a great deal of information on the King's of Pendleton and
surrounding counties. Part of my research shows Bryant King and Kate Sellers having
three children, Ida, Dallas, and Effie Wiggins King. Could Stamper Whitaker
have been married to Ida and then Effie?
