I have been unsubscribed for a while but I am still looking for my
great-great grandmother. Her name was Teresia Windt, born on 21 Dec 1854 in
Vienna, Austria. She married a man with the last name Heger with an umlaut
over the first e. Teresia and her husband had two sons, the oldest was
Joseph born in 1870 and the other Gazer born on 16 April 1876 in Austria
(possibly Graun). After her husband died Teresia and the boys came to the
United States and settled in Lawrence, Kansas near Teresia's brother
Joseph.
We also know that Teresia's husband had a brother named Ludwig. Ludwig and
his wife and daughter (both named Elizabeth) lived in Budapest. I believe
Teresia and her husband and sons may have been living in Budapest when her
husband died. After coming to Lawrence, Kansas she married an Italian named
Dominick Revere. Almost exactly a year after coming here Joseph the oldest
son died. Gazer grew to manhood and married Revia Mary Sollars and had a
large family. I would very much appreciate any information and will gladly
exchange information. I have a website at
http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Village/3233  with the particulars.
I am LDS and saw recently that there has been a great deal of interest in
Austria in genealogy and I am hoping that perhaps someone new to the list
will have joined with information about my ancestors.
Thank you for your help,
Audrey Moran

I'm looking to find a copy of an Obituary for Lenna B. Hennessey who died at
some point in 1892, presumably in Douglas County, KS.

Lenna, also known as "Lennie" or as "Lenny", was the daughter of Charles Patrick
HENNESSEY and Jemima "Mima" M. SELLERS.  She was born on June 6, 1869, in
Lecompton, Douglas County, Kansas.

According to accounts over the years by family members and descendants of
Lenna's nieces and nephews, Lenna died as a result of some type of horse or
riding accident in 1892 at the age of about 23.  Some recall that she was riding
a horse while others remember that she was riding in a buggy.  In both
instances, it is remembered that the horse spooked causing an accident in which
Lenna was severely injured with possibly a broken neck, which lead to her
death.  Family members also recall that Lenna was engaged to be married at the
time of the accident, however, no one could recall the name of her fiance' or
what became of him after Lenna's death.

Lost in the details as well is an exact date of Lenna's death.  I'd very much
like to find an Obituary for Lenna or possibly even a Death Notice in one of the
local papers.  Any information that can be found about Lenna and her death would
be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
