I, too, have searched the 1880 MO soundex and did not find James
M.
Sellers.
However, I understand that if there were no children under a certain
age
(10
perhaps), families were not necessarily listed in that soundex.
Nathan
would have been about 15 in 1880. The 1910 MO census lists
Mary E. Sellers
(Nathan's mother) in McDonald County living alone, indicating James
M. was
deceased by that time. Nathan died at Blackwell (Kay Co.),
OK on 18 Sep
1929 and is buried at the IOOF cemetery in Blackwell.
