I am interested in obtaining new information relating to the Seller(s) /
Sellar(s) line beyond my records dating back to Richard Sellar and Sarah (
Garton ) married 1763 in Kilham, Yorkshire, England. Unfortunately I do NOT
have their Birth or Death information, but I have information on their 8
children all born in Nafferton, Yorkshire, England from 1764 through 1780.
The research is a work in progress with mainly the direct line down to my
GG Grandfather Thomas Sellers b. 1824 in Cloughton, York, England , married
Mary Ann (Stubbs) 1855, and emigrated to Canada the following year.
I am interested in following the other descendants of Richard and Sarah
Sellar, to determine their paths, as well the siblings of Thomas Sellers,
whether they emigrated to North America, or wherever?

Thanks to a second or third cousin that I found through a RootsWeb site, I
have some info of a George Sellars b. Nov. 24, 1861 in Ontario, Canada died
Sept. 27, 1943 Tawas City, Iosco County, MI.  ( George is a son of my
GGGrandfather, Thomas Sellars and Mary Ann ( Stubbs ), emmigrated from
Yorkshire, England, and brother of my GGrandfather Richard Sellers b. 1855,
Ontario, Canada )

George Married Margaret Ellen Harcus 19 Sept. 1884 in  Lieury, Ontario
Canada.

You may already know the place in Yorkshire from which your Sellers
ancestor
emigrated, but just in case . . .
 Yesterday I was reading the 1841 census from one area of Yorkshire looking
for Wright ancestors.  I noticed that there were a number of Sellers
families
there and also a few Stubbs, i.e., names you mentioned in connection with
Yorkshire. If you are interested in the film number, etc., please e-mail
me.
