I'm trying to locate the father of Samuel H. Sellers, born in Newton county Georgia in November of 1844. I believe that both of his parents were born in SC. His mother was jennet or jennie and is buried in Dekalb county GA. What can you tell me about this family? I would be happy to share info with you about the familyof Samuel H. Sellers. Thank you. Jerry Sellers email@example.com
JERRY, thanks. The names of all of his kids or the child you connect and where they went may be important to post on our Sellers county/state pages.
YOU proved his county of birth how? 1870 census? or civil war record or?
Now in 1850 he appears to have a brother Francis/Samuel born ca 1834 SC.
Was he in Civil War = might show county he was born. some of the 1870 census show county of birth for GA births, but, don't know about SC. have you checked?
Sending thro our SELLERS group for help. Thanks for sharing SELLERS.

Samuel SELLERS 1844 death certificate list parents?
also the Thomas SELLERS 1835 SC , do we know where he went after 1850?
He would be the one we need to know WHERE born. was he in civil war or perhaps he died before 1860? or he may have married and took off.
WE don't know Jeannie/Jeanettes maiden name?
One note shows her born in Chester Co., SC, which could link to Thomas Sellers that went to Echols/Lowndes Co., GA.
WE also don't have them on an 1840 census with one child?
Lots of possibilities, Need some more documents.
