One of my early Mercers has a middle name of Sellers--Thomas Sellers Mercer
b. 1830 Clay Co. IN and there were several pioneer Sellers families in
Putnam
Co. There are 2 buried in the Bethel Methodist Cemetery in Putnam, which was
established in 1824, on land donated by Rev. John Mercer of my family.  The
Sellers, Mercers, Clearwaters and others were early Methodist ministers.
The
Bethel Cemetery listings are on the Putnam Co. IN genweb site if you want to
check it out. I did some research earlier this month in Greencastle when I
was back in Indianapolis for a family event. They have several early
histories, including Weik's, and the Sellers families had several references
and bios.  Where are you?  Pam Mercer Askin
