I am the granddaughter of Clayton Royal Sellers and Alice Jane Bledsoe.
Would be glad to share any information. Grandma kept and wrote down
everything!

I am descended from William Jefferson Bledsoe and Martha Ridgeway Bledsoe,

My great grandmother was Cora Bell Russell Sellers b.January 1864 in LaHarpe,
Hancock County, Illinois d. January 1944 in Moline, Rock Island County,
Illinois. She married Stanton Sellers on January 1, 1880 in McDonough County,
Illinois.

Her parents were Albert Russell b. 1838 in Tennessee and Sarah Matilda
Nelson Russell b. August 1842 in Illinois (buried in Maryville, MO).

Parents of Sarah Matilda Nelson were William Nelson b. January 1809 and
Susana Arnett Nelson b. March 1817.

Cora Bell had a sister named Elizabeth (Lizzie)

I believe the parents of Albert Russell were James Russell and Martha King
Russell.

Would like to find more information on the Nelson and Russell families,
and share information.

Francis O. Sellers, Jr., 86, of rural Galva died Sunday, February 17, 2008 at the OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.
 
Private family funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 20th, at the Galva Chapel of Stackhouse-Moore Funeral Services. Burial will be in the Galva Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Family House, 1509 N. Knoxville Rd., Peoria, IL.
 
Francis was born September 15, 1921 in Rock Island, the son of Francis O. and Bertha E. Hofer Sellers.
 
He was educated in Coal Valley schools and graduated from Coal Valley High School in 1939.
 
His marriage to Viola Tonn took place on January 15, 1949 in Galva.
 
Francis was a lifelong farmer. He farmed near Cambridge, then near Altona, and finally on his present farm south of Galva, where he has lived for the past fifty years. Francis also operated the Sellers Sales & Service Chevy/Olds dealership in Toulon from 1951 to 1956. He was an operating engineer out of Peoria Local 649 from 1960 to 1979. Francis was in Farm Management for twenty years for the Yocum family descendents. He enjoyed traveling and his family.
 
Surviving are his wife, Viola, sons and daughters-in-law, Steven A. and Pam Sellers, Kewanee, Francis O. Sellers, III, Kewanee, Frederick V. and Mary Sellers, Columbia, SC, and a daughter and son-in-law, Viola June and Randy Hagerty, LaFayette, IL. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Katie (Jeff) White, Kewanee, Jeffrey (Angie) Sellers, St. Louis, MO, Corey (fiancée, Emily) Sellers, Kewanee, Aaron (Abby) Sellers, SC, Eric (Erica) SC, great grandchildren, Kirkland Jenkin, Connor White, Carter White, Nathan Seller, and Brenna Sellers, two sisters, Berth Arline Solomonson, Geneseo, Elizabeth Louise (Verlin) Stauffer, Kewanee, and a sister-in-law, Betty Sellers, Florida. His parents, a grandson, Francis O. Sellers, IV, and a brother, Charles Sellers, preceded him in death.
