Of course Delilah was my 2-great grandmother Clarissa/Clarissy Prevatt
Davis's  sister.  The $64,000 question, though, is who was their mother
Elizabeth Ward (b. 4 May 1799 in Robeson Co., NC, as I have it) related
to...?  She later married a German immigrant, Frederick Ibe, in Decatur
County, Georgia, and is buried as Elizabeth Ibe at Smyrna Baptist Church
, Henry County (now Houston County) Alabama.

So far as I know, the Decatur/Grady County, Georgia, Hawthorns don't use
a final "e" on their name.
