>Volume 4 Additions/Corrections to vol. 3: Sellers, Samuel (page
290):
> >
> > John Sellers, listed as a son with wife named Keziah, was in
fact a
> > nephew instead of a son. Samuel's son, John, was named John
Millender
> > Sellers and was born 1812 (q.v.).
1850 census shows:
Household 6 as John M. (38) and Mary M. Sellers (32) with children.
This
should be the son of Samuel (not John) and the daughter of Solomon
Mobley.
Household 169 as John (33) and Keziah (28) with children. This should
be
the son of John and not Samuel as Huxford noted in the census.
I have no information of who the Father of John (husband of Keziah)
really is. I don't even have them or any of the children in my database.

Georgia. A deed appears of record in Sampson County, N.C. from Samuel
Sellars "of Georgia" to Nathaniel Merritt, dated Nov. 9, 1790, for
three
hundred acres in formerly Duplin, nowSampson

His will dated August 29, 1794, was probated in that county a few
weeks
after it was executed.
About 1806, the widow and children (who
by that time had married) moved
to Tattnall County, where she died. When
Appling County was opened to
settlers in 1819, The sons moved across the Aitamaha into the new
county and
lived there until they died.

I'm not on the list, but I thought some of you might find this document
interesting: http://www.synthcom.com/~jdm/genealogy/georgia.htm
.
It has
some details on 3 Sellers/McEachin marriages, and information on the
McEachins going all the way back to Scotland (well, you'll have to
look at
the other docs for that).
I've enjoyed the Sellers / Appling Co. page.

Subject: DOUGLAS(S)
I am searching for information about my ggg-grandfather, Fred(e)rick
Douglass, who probably lived in South Carolina in the late 1700's.
He had a son, Alexander William Douglas, who lived in Appling County,
Georgia. Alexander was born around 1795-1800 and died on November
13,
1870. Alexander's wife was Dicy ___. She may have been
a Watson, a Bowen,
or a Sellers.
Fred(e)rick was said to have been born in Burke County, so I assume
this
refers to Burke Co., NC. His father may have been James (Jim)
Douglas who
came from Ireland.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
