Am sseking information about Joseph Woods who was born abt.
1721 in Christ Church Parish. He married Mary Sterling in 1746.
Sons - John born 1752 was Capt. in First Georgia Regiment of
Continental troops. Other sons were Nathaniel, William, and
Joseph Jr. all of whom served in First Georgia Regiment. Joseph
died in 1797 and is supposedly buried in Savannah. John married
Leanah Melton in 1768. They left GA sometime prior to 1800
and moved to Simpson County, KY. If you have any information
would appreciate the help to fill in gaps.
