Hello Nick,

I am  new to the Internet and  I just happened up on your query concerning
Sarah Sellers today.  It was dated April 13, 1997 so what I know may be old
news to you now.

Sutton Felden Allen Sellers was my great-grandfather and he was Sarah’s
younger brother.  They had two brothers, William Pryor and Mathew.  Henry
and
Rutha were their parents.  The two Probate Court boxes, box 45 and box 47
contain Henry’s Estate and inventory and Rutha’s Will and inventory
respectively.

Sarah J. was married to Charles Mobley and her signature appears on probate
court records concerning Rutha’s Will as Sally Mobley.  Charles Mobley’s
signature also appears on those papers.

Henry was born in North Carolina and Rutha was born in Kentucky, according
to
Sutton Sellers papers we have in our records.  Sutton was born in Davidson
County, Tenn., according to a statement made by one of his sons.=
(SEE CORRECTION  BELOW = born near
Liberty, in White CO TN, on November 8, 1823.)

Hope this is of some interest to you.

Marie,

I recently found my great-grandfather, Sutton Feldon Sellers' obituary,
written by him a few days before he died.  He said that he was born near
Liberty, in White CO TN, on November 8, 1823.  I wrote you earlier that he
was born in Davidson CO. TN.  He stated that his father was Henry Sellers-
and
his mother was Ruth Sellers, and that they moved to White CO. IL. in 1828,
and then to Greenwood, KS. in 1873.  I thought that you might like to make
this correction on Ferns' page.  I am still searching for Henry's parents
in
North Carolina.  Who are they??

Thanks Marie.

FERN, there is almost nothing on WHITE CO, TN re:SELLERS.
WARREN CO, TN was made from White and you may need to study the counties
surrounding
here till we know where their land laid.
Warren Co, TN does have a HENRY SELLERS dec'd in 1841 - No idea where in
1840/30-See
if you can find anything useful and advise.

     Marie,

These are the names and dates of my great grandfather, Sutton F. Sellers
and
families.  I descend from William Henry.  I just recently learned that he
was
born in White, CO, TN.  I have not found any info on the Sellers family in
White, CO, TN, yet.  I found a Henry Sellers in Smith CO. in 1815, who was
a
witness on a letter to a pension board for Pharas Laurance.  Sutton's
maternal grandfather, James Ewing, died in Smith, CO in 1810.  This Henry
Sellers could be my gg-grandfather.
