* The first Document of a marriage for Eliza Jane was Dec
15, 1891 & it
states on this Document at the Court House that this was her first
marriage.
The 3 Children that I know of came before that date. On this
date she
married a George C Cutsinger and I have not been able to find them
anywhere
after that date.

In my line , starting with my Greatgrandmother, Eliza Jane Sellers,
there
is
much controversity and confusion in the Genealogy and many more
names but
I
put down a short version to get started.
I have heard Stories that 3 Brothers came to America from Germany
and
first
settled in Shenandoah Valley, Va., and that the Name was
Zeller??????????and
our line came from one of these????????????
I have not had time to print out the instructions you recomended
to print
out
but will soon later, and hope it was alright to send already what
I have
and
my apologies if I am out of order.
Thank You,
Edward L. Sellers

Marie,
Just a side note about my up-coming response to your e-mail on 10/18
(re:
SELLERS TREE)
I do have some information that I have researched that will clear
up or
at least sort out some things.
I also have been given much information on all the Siblings of my
"Henry
Sellers Jr from Lawrence Co ", Ind but was given to me as a "Preliminary
Study Of the sellers Family" of Cumberland County, Pa.
I am waiting for my Daughter in law to come Type all this
for me and put
in a File in my Computer, so that i can forward it on to the
Group and?or
to you.
So I haven't forgotton, just need some time & help to get it
typed and
put together.
I also have searched the 1870 census that will sort out some things
and
that I will also send.
Thanks,
Edward L. Sellers

Re: Sellers tree
From:
ES5993@aol.com
Marie,
Thanks for giving me some direction on my "Sellers Tree" inquiry.
I have a lot of Info that will clear up many questions, but will
have to
get
it together first. I will keep this e-mail and send as soon
as possible.
AS an example , You show in the 1860 Census - ELIZABETH 12 IN*
This is my Greatgrandmother, but the name is Eliza Jane Sellers
b. ca
1847/8.
The apparant reason my Grandfather's name is Oscar Franklin SELLERS
is
because he took her name because Eliza Jane it seems was not married.
Oscar
was reared in Daviess Co in the home of Charles f. Graves.
I found a
marriage in Martin Co for Eliza Jane Sellers on Dec 15, 1891 to
a George
C.Cutsinger, listed as her 1st and his 2nd ( which I found also)
(that
being the case, then the 3 Children were born before the 1891
first Marriage.
I found that all 3 children were listed on many years at the Poor
Assylum
and Eliza Jane also. On one Census at the poor Assylum it
lists Oscar & Ida
M. as Taylor & josephine as Mitchell, which satisfies all the
rumors but NO
marriages with these names. I have not a trace Of Eliza Jane
or George
Cutsinger after this wedding. She had 1st Josephine, 2nd Ida
M.(NEVER
FOUND
_ since her Poor Assylum days) , then Oscar. (There is so
much more
about
many of the ones you listed that I can provide later, but just wanted
to
give
you an Idea of just a small area. It could get quite lengthy
and I don't
know how involved I should get or should I just report Census
info,
etc.)
I also have a lot of info that was given me from research done by
other
Relatives on most all the other Children of Henry Sellers Sr
& Catherine
(Helm) Sellers of Cumberland Co , Pa., but not further back than
Henry
Sellers Sr.. Many od these went to Pike Co., Ill & Moses
to Daviessa Co
In.
I welcome your candid comments on what i've written and appreciate
any
suggestions. Again my opologies as I am fairly new at the
Internet
thing.
THANKS

Marie,
I am working on the Typing, but slow.
I have not searched Pa, but have info given me by distant relatives
who
did,
but have no info beyond (older than)Henry Sellers Sr. and it appears
Henry Sr
must have died in Pa (1830's)and then his Wife Catherine (Helm)
Sellers
migrated on to Indiana(she had a Daughter Susan and Son-in Law,Dennis
Call,
already here) , then on to Pike Co, Ill, . This Info is "Titled"
>>
"Preliminary study of the Henry Sellers Sr & Catherine (HELM)
Familie of
Cumberland Co. Pa. From this, I have info on all the Children
of Henry
Sr as
they migrated to Indiana, and many on to Pike Co , ILL. I will send
that
later (When I get it typedPif you would like.
For now this is what I found on the 1870 Census. But must explain>
Henry Sellers Jr M. 1st >Mary Ann Hastings in 1844 in Indiana.
From this
m.
they had 4 children.
1. Caanan (died in civil War in Tenn)
2. Eliza Jane (my greatgrandmother and the one creating all
the
Mystery)(Many years at Poor Assylum, Martin co Ind) Had 3 Children
by 2
different Men(it seems) before her 1st marriage Dec 15, 1891 to
George C.
Cutsinger) Have no Trace since this Date of either of them)
3. Henrietta (Epileptic) Died at Poor Assylum
4. Simpson b.1852
Mary Ann dies in 1857,early in year
Henry then marries in Jul 1857 to Sarah Hunter & they have 5
Boy
Children,
including Henry "ROBERT" b. in 1873, so he is not on the 1870 Census

Special Note. MISSING Is Eliza Jane, would be approx age 22/23.
I have
looked in surrounding Counties with inlaws and cannot find her in
1870.
NOTE: I have a copy of a handwritten Ledger by her Grandfather
Arthur D.
Hasting who was the Co or Twp Trustee and had a Position also in
their
Church
Elder or Preacher, that wrote in 1872 where Eliza Jane (called Louisa
also)
was "TURNED OUT" from that Church. I next found her (Eliza
Jane) at the
Poor
Assylum 29 Aug 1873, and in 1874 with girl Child (Josephine?).
Thanks again.
Ed Sellers
P.S. I still do not quite understand how all this is
put together and
functioning. Is there any membership cost or is there an encouragement
of
some donation that is a part of the scheme of things. Help
me out here,
Marie, if you would.
