I'm just beginning my Sellers research. My grandfather was Andrew
Jackson Sellers. His wife was named Helen. They lived in the Birmingham,
AL area.They had 4 children: Edward, Patricia (?) , William and Ollice.
Is anyone familiar with these names?
Is anyone familiar with the name Andrew Jackson Sellers? Wife:
Helen. Died around 1955..

CORRECTION
When this original post was made, my information was incorrect.
Andrew Jackson Sellers was married to Lydia Quinn. He was born in 1890 and
died in 1961. I am interested in finding out who his paternal grandparents
were. (It's his son, Leon, who was married to Helen Tanner and died in
1955.).

DONNA, Thanks - Sure there are obits available on this family? About
what are  ages of birth of Andrew and Helen?
And any ages of the kids?

ANDREW SELLERS and probably wife HELEN will have Social Security numbers which probably list Place of Birth - These are free on Line on Ancestry.Com?

SOMEONE have exact # to give her? appreciate

ALSO, can go to US GENWEB (do a search) and go to Alabama and go to Jeff Co and see what info is listed on their web pages.

THEY may also have OBITS on 1900's

I am Not real sure on this Milton Sellers born ca 1844 - we have one born 1847, but, with an older wife, his age may be shown a little hi? AND we may have another on UNREAD census.

misinformed when I mentioned that he died in Jefferson Co., AL.

 I'm searching for the parents of my ggfather, Andrew Jackson Sellers b.

 10 May 1890, d. 24 December 1961. He was married to Lydia Quinn. They
 had 4 (?) children. I know the names of 3 were Leon, Esther, and Ruth.
They lived in Dora and Guin, AL at one time. While in Guin he was known
as Pop Sellers. He was the police chief  He is buried in East Dora
Cemetery in Dora, Al.

Marie, while searching for info on my grandmother I ran across info exchanges between you and Donna Sellers re: Andrew Jackson Sellers (Popa Sellers)...he is my grand father and Donna's great grand father.

I sent her a message via dysceg@bellsouth.net.  It was returned as user unknown.  Do you have any information as to how I can contact Donna?
