DONNA, sending this thro our SELLERS discussion group - Could you give
us a time line on this family, like =
1830 Dauphin
Co, PA = do you have his census and neighbors?
1840 Cumberland
/Lancaster, PA=
1850 =
1860 BERKS
CO, PA =
1865 ALLEGHANY
CO, CIVIL WAR=
SO, we'd know if Same Family, etc
Believe we have your old chart posted on his son Samuel with kids born
Lebanon
and Dauphin
Co, PA and then kids born in Edgar
Co, IL.
SO, then
that wouldn't be him here in 1870
Dauphin Co, PA age 45?
Believe we had one query on it and NoOne
could help them - Doesn't sound
good, does it?
But, we
have several working on Dauphin Co, PA - perhaps, we could all
help
each other by sharing documents, info.
WAS he born in PA? - yes, quess, everything says that. Send us what
info
you can on him and perhaps someone can help. Please send copy of
first
letter of contact to our SELLERS group as they are the ones who
share
their info. marie, iowa
I am wondering if your Mary Sellers could have been a sister to my
Samuel
Sellers b 3 Mar 1838 married Elizabeth Hess Zion Evangelical
Lutheran Ch.
Hummelston PA. I believe there was also another bro Joh.
b ca 1833. Parents
believed to be Jeremiah b 24 Sept 1799 and
Elizabeth b 19 Nov 1800. These
supposed to have been buried in
J.E.Martin graveyard in Londerry Twp.,
Dauphin
Co. Hopeing to hear from you. Donna
I do not know where Jeremiah was born, it is reported that he was B
24
sept
1799 D 3 July 1853. Elizabeth B 10 Nov 1800
D 11 Dec 1849, buried J E
Martin Graveyard Londonderry Twp Daupnin
Co PA
The people you refered to are probably the right
ones. I can't seem to get
back beyond Jeremiah. I am
showing that Samuel & Elizabeth Hess were
married Zion
Evangelical Lutheran Ch Hummelstown
PA 13 Aug 1857. Their
children were born in PA, however Kate
born in 1868 and later ones were
born
near Paris
IL. It looks about the first 6 in PA and the last 6 in IL. My
grandparents Albert and Elzira A Bandy were married before coming to
KS.
My
father the oldest of Alberts was born in KS.
All of Samuel's children came
to KS,
One Emaline died while they were in IL. I have wondered if
Jeremiah
wife Elizabeth may have been a Martin, considering
they are buried in
Martin
graveyard. Donna
SO, How/Where Did Someone find them on an 1850/60 census with these
kids?
Probably differant spelling or living with someone else? PLEASE
advise.
I believe we see them in 1880
EDGAR CO, IL
and 1910 McPherson
Co, KS
will try and post these census to same, So Others can find
you.
Are they on this 1870 DAUPHIN
CO, PA census - we only have head of house
OR in IL OR where?
1850 CENSUS is what I'm interested in
AND Who Else is buried in
this MARTIN cemetery?
WOULD you care to look at our DAUPHIN CO, PA page and members related
to
these SELLERS and See if Anything Close to Same Families?= click

IF we
had the 1840? PA census with him - Is he living with parents/inlaws?
DO YOU have these 1830/40/50 PA or CENSUS posted - We Need Several.
WE have MD info , but, doesn't seem there?
JEREMIAH doesn't seem to be a Common SELLERS name - BUT, we do have one
in
KY in 1790 that could have come from PA - as others did, but, NOT
with
them?
