I thought I would repost this, still a brick wall for me.
My gggrandmother was Martha T. Sellers/Sellars. She was born in
Tennessee.
She was married to Samuel Franklin Reno/Reneau who was
born in Kentucky. I
know one child was William Isaiah Reno b.
December 24, 1866.
Sorry I don't have more specific info on Martha. I am really stumped.
Donna
Ed,
You are an ANGEL!!! I am sure this is what I am looking for. I
had heard
that one of the generations had changed the spelling of
Reno but was not
sure
what the original was--something of
a family squabble--and it is easy to
see
that Martha T.
could be Mary T. Anyway it's a place to start.
Additional info in case someone else has collateral info laying around:
Samuel Franklin Reno died in 1924, unsure of his birth. No info on
Martha
T.
Sellars except she was born in Tennessee.
The only child I know of is my
direct line:
William Isaiah
Reno b. Dec 24, 1866 in Tennessee/ Married January 1, 1888
Valley
View, Texas, to "Lockie" Williams (her given name was Henry Carlock
Williams--her dad wanted a boy). William Isaiah died July 17, 1950
in
Forney,
Texas/
Thanks for any leads. Ed, thanks for passing on side info. I
appreciate
it.

I was going back through the archived Sellers list because I was gone
much
of
the summer and even though you all probably have
resolved most of this, I
need to know what was decided.
I am Martha T. Sellers Renow's gggrandaughter. So that means, if I
read
the
e-mail right, that I am directly related to Isiah
Sellers and Micah
Henderson
Sellers.
Ed, in your e-mail dated June 27, 1999, you show Micah's line to
include
daughthers Mary H and Martha F. Yet his will
shows these to be his
granddaughters and no mention of them as
daughters. Since Martha is my
ancestor, it is important for me
to get this right. Your info shows
Martha
to be born
in 1844---three years after her father's death.
Cindy, you mention the Texas State Archives and the church records at
TSLAC.
What is the TSLAC and where is it located?
The e-mails also mention Dorothy Moneymaker. Who is she? Is
her
information
available to be read?
Is there a strong tie from Jacob Sellers to Ishom Sellers to Micah H.
Sellers
to Isiah Sellers to Martha T. Sellers?
I will be spending time with my mother soon and this is her family so I
am
hoping to get some of this cleared up.
Any help you can give me would be appreciated. Thank you very much.
