==========
DEBRA, this is the SELLERS
discussion group.
WE are Very interested in your
Jemime SELLERS 1757.
I kinda see them in 1790/1820
Edgefield Co, SC census. altho I have No other info at the moment.
Where did our source of proof to
SELLERS come from? Rev War file?
Our SELLERS will gladly share
documents to our SELLERS here in 1776, etc.
Do you have a time line to share on
her? = where married or first or any child born?
This is a very important find to our
Sellers family.
THANK YOU for sharing SELLERS, marie, iowa
Re: Gasper Cooper Gallman in
Edgefield
Debra,
I checked a file I have from another
researcher with some misc. families in it
and found this info.
Gasper Gallman [1818](m. Fannie McClendon [d/o Ezekiel McClendon],
2/6/1838
Edgefield SC)
This comes from Early Edgefield
Marriages by Carlee McClendon.
Is this your same Gasper Gallman, or
another related one?
I found a Jemima Gallman, age 40
born in SC, living with the David (Tisic)
family in 1850, Edgefield Dist, p.
88B, hh#1367 (should be 1371). Can't be
your Jemime Sellers Gallman if she
was born ca 1757, but probably connected
No Gasper in 1850 Edgefield.

Subject: Pension application of
Howell Sellars
You may be interested
in this Rev War pension application from Howell Sellers, the little-brother of
Jemima Sellers Gallman. There were 3 Sellers males in Edgefield SC in
1776-1800: Thomas, Silas and Howell. Howell is the easiest one to
document. He was born Mar 1763 in Chatham Co NC, so was age 13 when he
enlisted in the SC militia in 1776, served with his brothers-in-law Gasper and
Conrad Gallman in Capt. John Ryan's company. (I have the link for the
muster-roll of that company.) There is no absolute proof that Thomas
Sellers was their father. But he was the only one on the Jury List in
Edgefield in 1778-9 (name listed adjacent to that of Herman Gallman), so was
the only tax-paying head-of-household. Sounds like he's the oldest of
them! When he purchased land in the 1780's, the deed was witnessed by
Silas and Howell Sellers; other deeds of theirs were witnessed by
Gallmans. In 1790, Thomas Sellers lived adjacent to Gasper and Conrad
Gallman on Horn's Creek, so he sort of "sounds" like a father-in-law.
Howell lived a few properties away, also on Horn's Creek. Howell moved to
Robertson Co TN, lived there from 1812 to 1830, then moved to Cass Co IL in
1830, to Sangamon Co IL by 1832. He was a member of a Primitive Baptist
Church in all 3 locations. David Donaldson was a minister of the
Primitive Baptist Church in Coffee Co AL, and Elizabeth Gallman Donaldson was a
member there too (as one might expect).
DEBRA, Thank You for sharing and
caring =
DEBRA has sent us the kids

SELLERS as wife of Gasper GALLMAN! = NEED
YES, Howell Sellers 1762 did have a

HOWELL SELLERS 1762 is PROVEN as a
son of THOMAS SELLERS by land deed.

Debra,
I checked a file I have from another
researcher with some misc. families in it
and found this info.
Gasper Gallman [1818](m. Fannie McClendon [d/o Ezekiel McClendon],
2/6/1838
Edgefield SC)
This comes from Early Edgefield
Marriages by Carlee McClendon.
Is this your same Gasper Gallman, or
another related one?
I found a Jemima Gallman, age 40
born in SC, living with the David (Tisic)
family in 1850, Edgefield Dist, p.
88B, hh#1367 (should be 1371). Can't be
your Jemime Sellers Gallman if she was
born ca 1757, but probably connected
No Gasper in 1850 Edgefield.
