Also, does anyone know who Mathew Sellers is? I find him listed
in many
deeds with Elisha W. and George W. and I have a theory that he is one
of
the missing brothers but have no proof yet.
I am looking for the children (especially the male children) of the
following
Columbus County, NC WARD men.
These men were listed in the 1840 Columbus Co.
census. I am trying to fill
in the gaps on these men to see if my DANIEL WARD b. abt 1832, is
the child
of one of these men. The 1840 Census lists them as:
1) JESSE WARD - he had 1 male 5-10 yrs; 1 male 15-20 yrs;
1 male 20-30 yrs; 1 female 50-60 yrs; and 1 male 70-80
yrs.
2) ROBERT WARD - 2 females under 5 yrs; 1 male 5-10 yrs; 1 female
5-10
yrs; 3 females 10-15 yrs; 1 male 20-30 yrs; 1 female 30-40 yrs;
and 1 male
40-50 yrs.
3) SIMON WARD - 1 male 5-10 yrs; 1 female 5-10 yrs; 1 male 15-20
yrs; 1
female 15-20 yrs; 1 female 50-60 yrs; 1 male 50-60 yrs.
4) SIMON WARD - 1 female under 5 yrs; 1 male 5-10 yrs; 1 female 5-10
yrs;
1 male 10-15 yrs; 1 female 10-15 yrs; 1 female 20-30 yrs; 1 male
30-40
yrs.
Any information on these men is greatly appreciated!
1) HARDY BENTON
2) JOB BENTON
3) JOSHUA BENTON
I beleive that one of these men is possibly the father of ISAAC BENTON
b. abt 1791 married MARY WARD b. abt 1809.
later moved to COLUMBUS CO or were put into
COLUMBUS co. when the Co.
formed
in 1808.

Sharing Info , we can prove Something!
PLEASE, send a copy of any First Link/Connection /Letter to our SELLERS
group/this address=
These are the SELLERS who have shared Their Family Info with us.
NOW, I kinda would like to have a small chart of Names/Ages/Places/Kids
on
ELISHA SELLERS
and son Geo W.
and any child you have info on =
Who Married and Went Where is very important =
Who living with them on any census =
Any documents of info =
AND we will try and link to Places/Peoples -
THANKS for sharing, marie, iowa
You can see what I have on the Sellers at
www.geocities.com/Heartland/Farm/Sellers.html
I have not entered all of teh cenusus and deed info onto my site
yet.
Any feedback or theories are welcomed, as all of this info on ELisha
to
Amelia and Joel to Benjamin is not 100% proven yet. I think you
will find
it
interesting reading when I forward the file. I will do so later
toady. But
look at my Sellers page in teh meantime.
Sincerely,
Debra Benton-
DEBRA - will send to our SELLERS group as many have worked on COLUMBUS
CO,
NC
SELLERS.
Yes, Mr. MARLOWE has done a splendid job of separating these families
by
the use
of land deeds - we wouldn't be this far without him. As he
said, there are
a
few areas that are speculation and We must work these out the best
we can
and
look for Newer material, etc.
We have tried to make a page on each child of Benjamin SELLERS 1720
and we
don't
have one for JOEL 1748 and his kids. So, with your help and info,
we can
start
one for him and make links to places, etc, So others can find you
and his
kids.
I had to use this url for your
page=http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Farm/2521/Sellers.html
perhaps the number below will work for others.
Thanks for sharing, marie, iowa
Marie,
Here is an updated (though I stil have more data to enter) on Elisha
Sellers
and his descendants taht I have thus far. Also under George Sellers
in my
link to George as Elisha's son. That is also under George's son
Vestpucious
in the 1910 census and info on Joseph C. Sellers Death Certificate.
It
appears I am the first one to put George Washington as a son of
Elisha.
Would appreciate a second opinion to make sure that my logic
is correct !
Let me know what you think!
I will try to get the rest entered into my FTM but am short on time
these
days. I have not updated my website on the Sellers with the
info I just
typed in today.
Look forward to hearing from you!
Sincerely
Debra Benton

I wonder about this CivilWar file - Some lists the
Wm and Pitlman SELLERS,
sons
of Elisha 1784 as CW , Reg 51
and you show an age diff of GEO W (comparing same)
Couldn't this Geo W. Be a diff CW vet/record=CoK-20th
reg -
Please check it out
THANKS, marie, iowa

Subject: Bracey Smith and Eliza Benton

-------------------------
Our great great Aunt ELIZA BENTON was married to BRACEY SMITH, both
of
Columbus Co., NC. I have the basic info on ELIZA and BRACEY (birth,
death
, and marriage) and I know that ELIZA lived behind some of the TODD's
after
BRACEY's death and never remarried and is buried in STANLEY Cemetery.
I am looking for stories about the lives of BRACEY and ELIZA. ie. ELIZA
used to smoke a clay pipe. Can you tell me more about them? I want
to know
more abou them besides statistics. Thanks!
