Sellers in Texas
Debbie Sellers <firstname.lastname@example.org>
I'm fairly new to this group, have been monitiring it for awhile but have not had
anything to go until recently. My question is does anyone have anything on
Sylvester Frederic Henry Sellers (1871-1927) married to Sarah Meyer (sp?) born in
Germany and died in 1944.
I have the descendents all born in or around Galveston
County but very little on
this couples' parents. I believe Sylvester, who went by the name Henry, is a
child of James and Elizabeth Sellers. I don't have anything about them or if
Henry had any siblings. Henry and Sarah's children were Anna, John, Frank,
Antonio, Gertrude and Mary Elizabeth.
DEBBIE - do you know Where they were married? There probably is a
certificate that may show his parents - depending on who gave the info.
He should be on an 1880 census with his parents.
In the 1900 GALVESTON CO, TX CENSUS =
HENRY SELLERS 27 TN, 7/1872
SARAH 28 GERM, 4/1872
ANNA 7 TX, 7/1892
JOHN 3 TX, 9/1896
FRANK 1 TX, 11/1898
SEEMS, This family is the SELLERS of Galveston - a couple others
buried there and might help to know who they are. Jesse and Virella
SELLERS, believe I did see on a census, but, didn't check state of birth
in front of me.
Where did the James and Elizabeth idea come from - that's a lot of
to check, but, might be necessary
. I did not see a Henry 1871 on the 1880 TX that I have extracted.
There were two on the 1880 TN census, Shelby and Maury Co. and may NOT
have all names on here AND may be anywhere between TN and TX.
and on the 1920 census he shows born TX.
Thanks for sharing, marie, iowa

I have not been able to find any more about them. As I have posted

evidence that is true.
