I am looking for the parents of my John Sellers born ca. 1795/6 NC and
died 1861-1864 Rapides Parish LA. He was married to Lucretia last name
unknown, prior to 1826, perhaps in Georgia. Lucretia was born ca. 1794
NC and was still living in 1880 Vernon Parish LA.
They had 6 children: Catherine Jane 1826; Lucinda 1828; Bryant Mentry
1830; Polly 1835; Amanda 1837 and John M. 1839 all born in Georgia.
I am related through Catherine Jane Sellers who married William Smith in
Thomas Co. GA on 15 Jun 1843, nine children were born.
