I have only the one Sellers in my database. Would love to find
her parents
and siblings.
My GG Grandmother, Salina Jane Sellers b. ca1834 Cannon
Co?, Tn; md 13 Feb
1849, Cannon Co, to Martin Daniel Brown. Their first 4 children
were born in
Tn, then by 1860 they had moved to East Texas settling first in
Upshur, then
Hopkins Co.
Children's names were: Louisa, Susannah, Martha, Martin H., Tennessee,
William Jacob, Andrew Pinkney, Ella, and Leon.
Anyone else searching for Sellers in Cannon Co? Do these names sound
familiar??

Thanks!! Are you connected to this group of Sellers?? > > I have most all of Louisa Brown Henson's descendants, and some information on > the other Brown children, who they married and some descendants. The > Henson's and Brown's had a family feud over some land in Texas which ended up > in a death and a murder trial..charges later dropped. So the families lost > track. Most of the Brown's ended up in Oklahoma. > > I really appreciate the info...happy to share whatever I have that you might > want. > > Carolyn ------------- I enjoy connecting ALL of our SELLERS - If you can send info on where this family went to OR any of the children, I'll try and link places on our web page- Have you read the 1850 Cannon Co census - would like to see all dates- I have the 1860 Hopkins Co,TX , but didn't post Salina's childrens names-didn't know she was a SELLERS, or in a hurry! Was Martin's middle name HENRY? I have the Warren Co Tn minutes on tape with land deeds - Can't prove Henrys father - can't find original marriage! It looks like, maybe, Susan was the wife and remarried John Patterson-and they raised the children- When estate/guardianship finished - John and Susan PATTERSON did NOT charge the estate for the "wards"- I forgot to check the 1860 census for Pattersons! JOHN PATTERSON married 9-2-1841 SUSAN SELLERS - Thanks for sharing, marie, iowa
From: Carolyn <ldystang@airmail.net> Please check my home page ...have about all I know of the Brown family there. http://web2.airmail.net/ldystang/gen/genealog.html Also look at Louisa Brown Henson for her family info. Then let me know if you need anything else. What is your home page URL??? I dont have any census records at the moment on the Sellers-Browns. Most of what I know of them comes from a book "Henson-Cartwright Cousins" printed in 1984 by Faye C. Pool. Also some correspondence with one of the Brown descendants in Hopkins Co. I agree, Susan (Susannah??) apears to have been Henry's widow. Salina Jane named her 2nd child Susannah, probably after her mother?? Am wondering if Martin Daniel and Salina's son's name was Martin Henry as you asked. I found a query at Warren Co Genweb about the following Sellers..wrote and asked if possible connection and received this from Jean Owens, Okla City: "I don't have a lot of info. on the Sellers, here it is. Mathew Sellers 1783 NC Charolette Hart 1786 NC the only two children I have Chairty Paulene Sellers Nov. 16, 1822 (My ancestor) William Sellers (is this the right age group for your William Sellers listed on will Most of my Sellers were in Dry Creek, Dekalb Co . by 1850 I would say there is a good chance it is same lines, Any idea when Henry was born?" Looks promising maybe. Perhaps Henry named his son William after the above William?? who might have been a brother to Henry?? CarolynCarolyn -
