I believe this is the same family on 1850 Butler Co, Al census=
shows Dunun(Dareen) should be Duncum Sellers and wife Elizabeth
and
children, including Daniel - probably yours-
You should probably order civil war file - sometimes info and sometimes
not!- but, usually place of birth-
APPEARS this family came from SC -, have a little more, not posted
on
our web page -
I'll try and get back soon - I am NOT fast-
If you know where any of the children went - we might find new links
also- marie, iowa
Marie,
Thanks for the census information. All I had on Daniel B. Sellers was taken from his tombstone in McKenzie, Alabama. It did not give his birthdate but gave: died April 26, 1918 then gives the date August 10, 1862 Pvt. Co. B 17 Regmt Alabama Infantry.
I have no children other than what your census information showed.
John D. Sellers, who was his son, was my husband's grandfather. I think he had been married more than once but my husband's grandmother was Harriet Victoria Steward born October 29, 1862 and died September 20, 1911. (This came from a tombstone also. I have names of several of their children. My husband's mother was Era Victoria Sellers married to Hiram Thomas Green.
Is this the line you are researching? Do you have any other info to share? We are just beginning on this project but I have made contact with someone else who is working on this line.
Hope to hear more from you.

This is great to make a connection. Sellers
is my husband's mother's
family.
His mother was Era Sellers Green, daughter of John Duncan Sellers
and
Harriet
Steward (or Stewart). I have not done a lot of research on this
family
because so much information has been passed on to me but, of course,
I have
not verified the information. It's on my "to do" list.
I am interested in
the books you mentioned. I'd love to get copies. Do you
have the titles
and
publishers and maybe I could put out a search for them. I'd be
more than
happy to mail you printed copies of all the information I have.
I'd love
any
information you have also. It would be great fun to work on this
together.

Found your post quite interesting. Carol Green
