Re: [CAN-ONT-YORK] History of Malvern
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malvern,_Toronto, [1] has some information on it. My ancestors came from that area too. One of the Sellers married a Weir, they are probably your relations. I would like to have that History Book Also. Maybe the Toronto Library System had one. Carol On Thu 31/01/08 12:56 PM , Gary Sellers ggsellers24@sbcglobal.net

Would anyone know where I could buy a copy of the book,"History of Malvern". My G-G-grandparents, Joseph Sellers and Hannah Hutchinson were married there in 1862.

Hoping that someone out there might be able to help me.
I am looking for the family of MATHEW SELLERS, born c1843, possibly
Blackpool, England.
His son, WALTER SELLERS, born 21 Feb 1866 was born at Blackpool.
MATHEW SELLERS married a woman named AGNES ? c1862 and they had three
children, David c1863, Marion c1864 and Walter 1866....and then they
emigrated to Toronto Ontario Canada sometime between 1866 and 1872 when the
next child, Clara, was born in Toronto. Next came Herbert c1876 and
then
Albert in1878.
The 1881 Census of Toronto finds the family living in St. Stephen's
ward...Mathew was a shipping agent.
Perhaps there is someone out there that has access to the 1861 Census for
Blackpool...in the hope that I can find them there.
Any information will be most gratefully received.
Good luck to all,
Pat
Jamesburg NJ USA
===
Mathew and Agnes married
in England c1861. I know that
Walter married Sophronia Coon, 6 Aug 1894 in Port Arthur, Ontario.
Any help finding this family in the
1901 census or any other information, will be most gratefully received.

Hi there!Do you have any idea of a location in England for your Sellers ancestors? My grandmother was Minnie Featherstone, daughter of Thomas Featherstone & Martha McGlew of Middlesex, England. They came to Ontario in abt. 1870/71
Thomas Featherstone was the son of George Featherstone & Catherine Sellers
(London, Mdx). Catherine Sellers was the daughter of Christopher and Alisa?
Elizabeth (uncertain of first name) may well be Alison. Christopher Sellers
was born at Wapping, London in 1787/88. His occupation was Jeweller. I'm not
sure of too much anymore but I believe that there is a family connection to
a line of Hutchinson's. The problem as always "I won't know til I get there".
It may not be connected to my Sellers line. If at any point you feel that there
may be a link, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Good Luck in your search!

I'm looking for information on Richard Sellers, born in England, no date known. He married Sarah Morley, born 21 June 1820 in England. They emigrated to Canada and had their children in Pickering Township, Ontario, Canada. Richard seems to have died sometime around 1850.
Thanks!
